Lady Mary Playlist

Taking a cue from B. Yep, it's time for an update to the Lady Mary playlist. All suggestions welcome. I'm not going to tell you what I currently have because 1) some of them don't make sense to anyone but me, 2) this way you'll have a blank slate, and 3) I'm too lazy to go get my iPod and look them up ( Read more... )

"I Feel Pretty" - West Side Story (for obvious reasons)
"There She Goes" - Sixpence None the Richer" (captures some of LM's bounciness and cheerfulness)
"Cause I'm A Blonde" - Julie Brown (for when she's at her ditziest)
"What a Wonderful World" - Louis Armstrong (captures some of her innocence)
"Fairytale" - Enya (because she really belongs in one...)
"Happy Girl" - Martina McBride (again, obvious reasons)

And Lady Mary's Anti-Song: "Mud on the Tires" - Brad Paisley

I agree with most of what SrgMatt had to say. I prefer the original version of There She Goes, by The La's. I think it's a richer sound that better suits Mary.

As for additional songs...maybe there's a reason I don't make playlists. I'm having trouble with it right now. Sleep...then suggest music later.

For some reason The Sundays and Sixpence None the Richer both remind me slightly of Lady Mary

Beyond that, I'm not really sure what to suggest

An absolute must is "Diamonds are a Girl's Best friend" Just the lead in to that, "The French are glad to die for love and always fighting du-els, but I prefer a man who lives, and give expensive jew-els." So very mary.
