The battery on my phone was dying, so went down to the Verizon store to buy a replacement. Turns out that they don't make my phone anymore and, therefore, do not make the batteries. So it became time to buy a new phone. I generally get the lowest end one since I really just want something that will make phone calls. Last time, the lowest end

I think for VZ, every two years you're eligible for a phone upgrade. And if you get it from online, a lot of the phones are free. I didn't know that, apparently even the one I got (it's a smartphone) would have been free if I had gotten it online!
