In one day, I turn 27. This just doesn't feel right. By this point, I should have been out of college, in a career, in a relationship.

I feel... 12.

I should have been a man... not a boy. Yet here I am.

Good God, I don't think I can stand the tedium to 28.

Thank you. And, I say it sincerely, thank you to everyone else. This has been a rough time for me, and it's not letting up that easily.

But with friends, I've got a chance. Even if sometimes I don't feel that way. Even if sometimes, I forget the value of friendship, and am so singleminded in the pursuit for something more, that I lose sight of other thins.

And yet you have stayed my friends.

Couldn't ask a greater birthday present than that ever in my life.
