9.3 million subscribers paying $50 for the initial purchase + $15 a month for the privilege of being huge dorks = $3 BILLION so far. (

Ancillary revenue streams like merchandise and collectibles were ignored in my calculations. I also ignored the expansion because numbers were unavailable for how many bought it compared to the original. I just looked at the base number of subscribers as of yesterday.

I could go more in-depth and get a bigger number, but really, after a billion dollars it's pretty much imaginary money anyway. Being able to buy 50 private islands versus 75 is minor semantics.
