Apartment Hunting

So. I need to find an apartment. I've narrowed my search down to six choices. And here is where I'll list the links to the websites (because I keep misplacing them) and the pros and cons (if any) to each one. I would appreciate input from the flist.

1. Location: Henderson Rd.  and Kenny Rd (21 blocks North of work). 1 bedroom, 1 bath. $565/month. ( Read more... )

My vote would be for number 5. Having two bedrooms is a pretty big advantage, and if it becomes financially necessary, you can get a roommate. It is kinda far away, but not nearly as far as Bexley. You can walk over to High Street then catch a number 2 bus to campus, you don't really need a car. Unless you want to get home after 7 on a Sunday night.

If you're going to take out a loan for anything, it should be for a car, not an apartment. If you can, you should try and finance one, that way you can build up some credit.

Good Luck!

Thanks, Jordan! I've kind of been leaning more toward #3 and #5. The only thing about #5 is... how can it be that cheap for a two bedroom apartment unless it's in a bad area? So, I'll have to ask around and go visit the area. But you're right--twice the room for the same price (or less) as the other one bedrooms... That's really awesome. : )
