I get that. The closest I have come to figuring that out is that it happens when I have been analyzing something totally meaningless to an absurd degree when suddenly I finish or realize the triviality of my mental expedition. Upon realizing this I tell myself to "just forget all that," and suddenly, perhaps instantly in fact, I have forgotten what I was even thinking about or doing all the way back to the last point before I boarded whichever train eventually got forcefully disintegrated.
The dredges of those aborted thoughts may still remain somewhere inside my psyche. Perhaps that is the source of the unexplained "nonsense(?)" that my brain sometimes volunteers.
