Do I really want to know?

I like keeping up with friends, and I read their journals because I want to know what is going on with their lives. And if they bring up a topic that I don't want to know, I don't blame them, I just sorta skip it and continue on my way

I feel much the same way. I also restrict access to some posts. I may want to post about something sexual and restrict it to those who are on my filter and who have expressed an interest in reading about such things (and who I feel can be trusted with such information). Some posts I make are completely private and only for me.

This is why I will not get a TWITter account, nor do I care what anyone posts via that service. If folks primarily used it to update the world on long travels or other adventures, fine. But I simply do not care what anyone else ate for breakfast.
