I liked the slightly low-key ending.

I liked the idea of Lucius's escaping immediately after the Battle of Hogwarts; I liked the way you showed Draco's feelings for his family (and had Hermione come to understand them); I liked the element of mystery; and, most of all, I liked the way you had Draco's subconscious bring Hermione's face to mind at the critical moment (which you handled very tactfully, btw) and then showed how irritable he was afterwards...
