I am left wanting to know more, but not feeling like I was deprived of the relevant details. This does what all good glimpses should do, tells me essentially how they got here and leaves me desperate to know where they go from this point? Hermione's realizations and heartbreak are so real, it felt like I shared them with her. Well done!
I'm so relieved to hear that you felt as though you'd been given enough information-- I was a bit worried about that! Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the ficlet! =)
Woooooow - that's just a perfect interpretation of the prompt. The storytelling is done SO well, too! Gah, I don't even know what to say. I just love this bittersweet little piece. Amazing work! I'll go cry now, haha.
For some inexplicable reason, I found myself beyond capable of reading and (timely) reviewing Sage's Creatures of the Wind, so I will try once more.
This might be long and tangled, bordering on TMI even, but I'll try from the very top and work my down to the conclusion. I'm always reluctant to read DHr/RW. It seems inconsequential and like a waste of storytelling. But this story started from such a mundanely happy point that could be transposed onto any relationship which immediately drew me. Worse for me, I found Hermione and Ron's relationship to be acceptable. [That very well may be my trigger]. Then Hermione starts ranting about the clock and Molly and it seemed very suspicious to me and borderline deus ex machina like it swooped in and I couldn't figure out what was so special about right that second, so I was searching for an unknowable. The trunk opened into its own world of long-forgotten objects: This foreshadowing (maybe allusion to the Room of Hidden Things) tipped me off and then from there, it was watching a

I'm feeling drained, but I'm nearly done. I feel like Hermione, how do you even breach the subject after recognizing how tricked and used you've been? Where can you start? What can you expect to gain? How can you move on afterwards? How do you forgive yourself, your husband, Draco? All, the while you have a life that you've built on top of cards. It's just so underhanded and controlling and the freedom means nothing. And then it's like your life, everything you've gone through is nil. It's just your past deteriorate and your dreams disintegrate into dust particles

Kansol, your review made me feel as though I were waking up to Christmas come early. You are ridiculous and amazing and you have NO IDEA how much it warmed my heart to read this wonderful and perfect review! It means so, so much to me that you took the time and effort to write such a thoughtful response to each part of this tiny ficlet (the story was so short, I think your word count might rival my own!); and I absolutely loved reading about your reaction. Rest assured that there is ZERO need for you to apologize for giving me a play-by-play: in fact, it was a writer's dream come true to read this breakdown of your thoughts... like a sneak peek into a reader's mind. =)
I'm truly flattered that you found the story so moving (cathartic, even!), and I can't thank you enough for your far-too-kind words. <3 ::sends much, much love your way!::
Oh wow. I feel like crying too, and it's all because of the unwritten, unspoken things you portrayed so well. It was nice to have to puzzle the pieces together, even to their bleak solution... Thank you for such a brilliant story!
