Fantastic!! So unexpected and terribly fun to read, both because of the booze and because of this: Lavender and Parvati had been enticed from their room by the promise of more drink and something at least marginally more entertaining than varnishing their toenails. I'm sure you'll find a couple of internets under your tree at Christmas because this story is a jewel, a very pretty one!
:-) That line about Parvati and Lavender is a favorite of mine too, I must confess. LOL
I'm happy to have surprised readers with something they hadn't expected. That's great fun. Just as it was a lot of fun writing this story, of course. Thank you for such a lovely review-- it is much appreciated! *hugs*
Thank you so much, Krissy! You really helped me with certain questions, and it's so great to know that I can totally trust your eye and your instincts. Not a surprise, of course, as you are such an extraordinary writer. *hugs you*
Very devious. The party became awfully lively after the introduction of the Ouija board. I can totally see all the Gryffindors getting spooked and loved all their reactions. Neville was priceless.
:-) I love Neville. I wanted to touch on his feelings of intense antipathy towards Snape-- just in passing, of course, but it gives Neville a bit more of an edge. The Gryffindors definitely got spooked, yes! LOL Totally taken in, as was Hermione herself, for a while at least. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for reading and sharing your thoughts! Much appreciated!
