I'm going to minnesota for US fish and wildlife, I'm going to be in a on a fire management team. I'm being vague on purpose I guess... Just journaling the journey and I'm going to update soon and polish things soon. I got offered jobs in Katami and Colorado. You may know Bill Overby, I just spent a year up by him and NOCA.

Minnesota huh.. never been there.
Make sure ya learn a scandanavian accent and you'll fit right in.
but it should be a nice place.....
ya sure ya betcha.

yeah... as matter of fact I do know Bill.
He recently retired from DP and is teaching at Skagit Valley Community College (from which I graduated back in hmmm.. 1976).

I have passed all this DT stuff before.. but I don't put it to much use and should practice on it more - especially before I know I'm going to get tested...
and I'm sure one of these days I'll actually have to use it on someone...
Thanks for the info on the website. I'll check it out.

Yeah I really like Bill. I also like Skagit Valley alot, I miss it there. I'd rather stay in washington this summer then goto minnesota but I said I'd go, so there I go spending 1500 bucks to spend fire season in minnesota. Then I'm going to the University of Wyoming this fall.

I can imagine how tough that would be, the whole DT process and all, its not like you don't already have your hands full. I can hear the stress in a rangers voice when they call to see if I'm still availible... As if you needed DT on top of everything else.

I actually called and begged the guys in stehekin to let me on for the summer... As for DT if your ever on the west side of the mountains check out DToptions.com. This guy teaches at state academy and he's really good, what he taught me saved my life several times. I took 4 or more quarters of DT from him at a community college.
