Fringe (new Fox show) -- my thoughts

Being the science geek (okay, all-around geek) that I am, I decided to watch the premiere of Fringe last night on Fox, since it was being billed as a JJ Abrams take on The X-Files, and I have to say my feelings were mixed

Keep in mind, it is the premiere episode. It's rare to see a show start out with perfect acting and writing. Give them some time to settle in and see where it goes. *Note* This is a comment to the network as well as to you. ;-)

Since it doesn't have Joss' name attached to it, they'll likely give it some time to mature and smooth out.

I thought about watching that show, but then I reminded myself of why I've been careful to not get involved in many new television series over the past few seasons: there is simply Not Enough Free Time in any given week to keep adding things to my "do" list. It's pretty sad when you don't watch something because you're afraid you'll like it, eh?

Also: I really hate it when spell-checkers screw up. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of them even at the best of times.
