1. What did you do in 2024 that you'd never done before?

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I did not, but it's not going to stop me from trying again! This time let's make a smaller goal and just LEARN to use Clip Studio Paint!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Wen isn't exactly close, but I guess we were close enough.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

I wouldn't say I'm close to my grandmother, but we spoke to each other often enough.

5. What countries did you visit?

S P A I N , UK

6. What would you like to have in 2025 that you lacked in 2024?

Anything. Time, determination, good health, anything that will make me through the year.

7. What date from 2024 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

I wouldn't say etched, but I'll remember seeing Ben Whishaw again.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Getting Denise into FF14 with the promise of Regency RP.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Just lying flat. Ill health and dissociating from work didn't help.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Jet lag (which caused me to hit a car and get some bruises), more headaches, maybe the flu, actual period pain. It's just like my body decided to nope out at 40.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

OC Commissions, I found some good artists <3

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?

The cat at this point, because humans sucked so much in 2024.

13. Whose behaviour appalled you?

See above.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Just the usual things.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

I guess when I dig really deep: Mafuriah's commission.

i. happier or sadder? Sadder

ii. thinner or fatter? Unchanged, I think

iii. richer or poorer? I monitored my expenditure but I think it came up to the same. Just that I got an increment and bonus this time.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Actually wanting things? I don't know.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Sitting in front of my PC, but I know it'd be just to play other games.

20. How did you spend Christmas?

Actually spent Christmas eve at my aunt's place eating good food! And meeting cute pets.

21. Where did you ring in 2025?

At home with Deru, Gan, Yuhi, and Rin, drinking hot chocolate, eating cake, and just catching up (and there was a LOT of catching up).

22. Did you fall in love in 2024?

Nevermore.

23. How many one-night stands?

Zero.

24. What was your favourite TV program?

I didn't even watch stuff this time, amazing.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

Less hate and more general annoyance.

Beginner's Guide to Digital Painting with Procreate.

A trip to the Alhambra!

A trip to the Alhambra with good weather.

31. What did you do on your birthday?

The actual day: Went to work, went for lunch with colleagues and took photos.

The day after: Planned S P A I N trip only to realise I accidentally activated my new credit card...without receiving it. Phrasing is important, folks.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Not feeling like death at the thought of going to work.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2021?

None.

Everything that wasn't work. I think.

None.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?

The part where JK Rowling misgendered a female athlete. She wouldn't remotely think this before transphobia rotted her brain.

Nobody.

38. Who was the best new person you met?

A new colleague whose first line was "I have ADHD! I'm telling you because it seemed like you'd get it".

Sometimes we just have to make the best of things.
