Chihuly art glass ceiling at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. We visited this exhibit in 2008 and this has to be one of the most wonderful things I've ever seen. I could have stayed in this room for hours...
That is incredible. Wow, I loved seeing these photos. It seems like it would make more sense to have a padded floor for people to lie down on and look at it, rather than benches to sit on!
It was definitely incredible - and mesmerizing! I wanted to just sit and be drenched with all the colored light and never leave. :D Hee - padded floors - or couches to lie on - would have been fantastic!
Exquisite! Love, love, love his art! Still kicking myself for not making Nashville, even though it was almost identical to one I had just been to. It never grows stale no matter how much I look. I have seen two of his ceilings, but think that this one you have posted beats both of them and that is a difficult thing to do. Thank you for posting these!
Oh, and I know we talked about this in the past, but I love love love his art too. I was sorry you didn't make it to Nashville, and you're right - it really never gets old. This is the only ceiling I've seen in person, but it was SO gorgeous. I just wanted to stay in that room and bask in all the rainbow light forever. ^.^
