Okay, who the hell are these guys, and why is there a link to this OOC post?
These guys are Clan Ice Hellion Elementals - basically, guys in big fucking armor with big guns. They are most definitely not SPARTANs. The reason this is here is because this post is the beginning of a somewhat major plot that is going to happen, and I want people to have some advance warning to get shit in gear.
What plot?
See, um, Clan Ice Hellion is not known too well for being 'smart' in Battletech canon, and due to a rather lot of fuckcanon going on in Caleb and Amelia's Battletech-based universe, they are sort of at their wits' end. And the Nexus has a lot of resources.
Basically, they're going to come in guns blazing sooner or later. This is pretty much set in stone, and barring something major happening in the posts preceding the full Clan arrival, there is no way to avoid it.
This means, among other things, giant fuckoff robots with more guns than you care to shake a stick at, and a whole lot of futuristic technology. This will undoubtedly result in Nexus Power Creep for pups, but it's just something that has to be dealt with.
Do I have to participate?
Absolutely not. This is the Nexus. Reality is what you make of it. There will most definitely be large sections of the Nexus that aren't affected, among other things.
So, when is all this shit going down?
That depends on when people would like it to happen and what happens with this IC post. I'll leave it up to y'all, but I was shooting for November-December-ish?
