Bleah, good luck with that.

Was looking at citrus trees the w/end before I went Brisbane. I want small ones (one or two) for pots to go in my paved rear courtyard. It's a little suntrap, so I think they should do well - combatting evaporation is going to require much mulch. Am currently leaning towards some kind of dwarf lemon and either a lime or cumquat. I like my marmelade to be on the tangy side. :-)

I figure a quick olive oil and garlic drench now, and maybe a feed, and then if I can get the ants that are protecting the scale under control, the ladybirds in the garden should take care of the scale itself. In the meantime I pluck the egg cases off with my little knife :-/

What the heck, go for all three :-) We have a tiny mystery citrus and what is probably a lemon to go with the lime... I'm putting off thinking about more until after the soil starts warming up again. In the meantime it's peaches and pears and quinces... started on the espalier on the weekend. Whee!
