Went and toured the damage scene this morning. Didn't bother taking pictures cause it wasn't anything that hasn't been all over the internet already.Was interesting tracing the path as it cut a swath from Old Town, magically skipping over the Five Points intersection (which I'm glad for, not only because my mother was there - and wasn't kidding

weird. i remember surveying the damage in 1989 on Airport Rd. after that tornado.was so weird b/c it was like a giant black pit, everything flattened and all the street lights and such were totally gone. i cant imagine seeing damage in Five Points..well, i guess i will check it out when i get down there next week..it gives me the heebeegeebees just thinking about it, though
