'horny' near, what do you mean wammy's is a school?, superstitious cliches abound!, timeline wtf-ery, voodoo doesn't work like that, that doesn't mean what you think it does, this is just wrong, faux!l, does-not-belong!, ofc, have some respect for the dead, random dialogue is not genius depth, goes against near's better judgment

The question I have to ask on reading this runs as follows:

What was wrong with the actual ending of Death Note that the Sues have to retcon it into something so phenomenally stupid? Is it perhaps, as I suspect, that actually having to match wits with Light and Near in the Thirty Xanatos Pileup that was the end of Death Note would expose how painfully clueless and inept the Sue was when it became plain that she either wasn't actually following any of it, or was only following it because she'd stolen all Near's lines?
