[Matt's wandering, as he does, Sourcery in one hand, cigarette in the other, goggles pushed up onto his forehead. He turns the corner in time to hear the name he doesn't recognize.]

[He tucks the book into the back pocket of his jeans. Time to pull out the welcome wagon speech.]

We're in this, like, nexus of parallel worlds. Alternate realities coming together. Sounds all science-fictiony, but I know you're Mikami, even though you've usually never met me. [A slightly awkward pause, then he waves.] Matt. Hi.

He still has a bit of a limp, and as he turns the corner, he spots an extremely familiar face. Granted, though the chances of it being the same Teru he knows is thin, Light addresses him all the same.*

*And the smile touches his lips like syrup. Light stands a little straighter, opting not to favor his uninjured leg, as much as it causes discomfort.*

I'm sure that you will run into more than a few people here who will claim to know you. Tell me, what were you doing before you arrived?

*He keeps his tone polite, opting not to give anything away. This may very well be a version of Teru from before Light revealed himself in person. Or one that has no affiliation with Kira, whatsoever.*
