Light had been wandering the halls for a while. Ever since he had woken up he had been disoriented and confused. At one moment he had been sleeping next to L and the next he had woken up on the floor-fully dressed. At first he had thought the detective had knocked him off of the bed-that was until he realized that this place is in no way where he

And who was this? Light was certain that he hadn't seen this blond woman before; was it possible that she was someone sent here by L? She had to be, right? After all, why else would she be here? Light cocked an eyebrow and observed her facial features before locking his eyes with hers.
“Do we know each other?”

*He's just established for her that they don't, along with narrowing down somewhat when he might come from, unless he's from one of those weird-ass worlds where he's nice.*
I know versions of you, but not you.

“Right.” Light continued only after a brief pause and glanced around to see if there was a camera hidden somewhere before turning back to the blond. “Where's Ryuzaki?”

Huh. Not a rare occurrence when dealing with folks new to the batshit mansion. He waves, a bit meekly, with his free hand; he's busy holding a mug of steamy hot chocolate in the other.]
Uh, hey. New?
[[ooc: hiiiiiiiiiiiii, Seiiiiiiiiii. XD No goggles, barefoot, blah blah. you know Red's usual deal.]]

“Where am I?” He decided to start with that; after all this person-who ever he was-some how just didn't seem like someone that was employed by L, though Light could be wrong, so perhaps there was something else going on here.
((OOC: Hiiiiiii :D ))

This is the interdimensional crazy place. It tries to kill us everyday, but we somehow just keep coming back to life.

[A rather hyper Misa comes flying - although not literally - over to glomp him.]

“Misa.” he was glomped but was rather unphased-he'd gotten used to it by now, “Have you seen Ryuzaki?”
The first thought was probably to ask Misa where they were but that was actually a bit laughable. Misa probably didn't know much about what was going on-and if she did, she would blurt it out anyway-so it was probably more prudent to find someone a bit more capable.

“I'd like to find out what's going on.” He eyed her curiously. “I woke up in the middle of a hallway; I think he owes me some sort of explanation.”

“Misa,” He started in his typical distracted-more-by-the-situation-at-hand voice, “Have you seen Ryuzaki anywhere?”
Light glanced around, half hoping to see another familiar face. He figured if he didn't this must be another one of L's twisted Kira tests. Light didn't want to have to relive the trauma of his father 'shooting' him again.

Ryuzaki? Yeah- I've seen several of him... and then some other people named Matt and Mello, if that means anything to you, and... and... ooh, I saw Mr. Matsuda too! And um... yeah, I think that's mostly it~
*What? Think of maybe explaining that statement to him? Misa? No, not at all~*

“Several?” Light gave her a quizzical look.

Owlish coals stare into those sepia hues and he, decidedly, wants cake more than to play audience to another self-righteous monologue. And so, there he goes, door shutting with a click as he retreats to the table and his marvelous dessert (and dinner). Judging by the initial calling, he will soon have a tea guest, but at least he can focus primarily on the glory of these Mansion sweets.]

Light didn't really expect much of-if L would give any-answers, yet he watched the figure carefully. When the detective finally slid back into the room Light's eyelid twitched in disdain. Why did he expect some form of greeting or any reply at all?
Light followed, eventually, and stepped through the door to join L at the table. The room seemed clean-almost certifiably so-it was quite fitting with L's personality, attention to detail, and cleanliness. Light took a seat and stared at the detective. Was L going to say anything?

An index dips into the cheesecake before he draws it back to lick over. Mmm, mocha~ The other settles upon the adjacent seat. L neglects to fill the empty air for more than several minutes, sloppy sounds of licking and sucking filling the silence. Then:]
Light-kun, there are fruits on the uppermost shelf, if memory serves.

Was that all that L had to say? He brought Light to this place, for who knows what reason, and left him alone sleeping in a hallway and he wasn't going to say a thing about it? Light's lips did a half snarl-just enough to make it clear that Light was irritated-before turning to a frown.
“What was the meaning of this?”
