Dedicated: To cassie_roulette for the Boys of Summer Arc. I like to read it over and over again. Just to make sure all the memories are ingrained in my mind. Links = Gravity. It's the last one, but has links to all the others.
Pairing: Ray/Bob (More Ray, I know, but I'm a fan of the thighs.)
Ray should be thinking about how he wants it to be somewhere romantic, somewhere where he could be in control of things, of his emotions.
Instead, he just thinks how fucking awesome it is to be in the situation that he is at all. Let alone the fact that it's Bob leant against him. Bob, the drummer at the back of their band. The new boy, only just out of a real job and only just here with Ray.
When Ray had smiled at him before walking backstage, he hadn't expected Bob to follow. He certainly hadn't expected to be pushed inside a cupboard and against the shelves inside of it.
He could hear Bob's breathe, could almost feel against his breathe. He hadn't expected Bob to lean in against his ear and whisper gently into it.
"If you don't want this, you can leave."
Ray had stayed.
And now he can feel Bob's boner against his hip. He can hear Bob's breath hitch as he rolls his hips against Ray's. He wants to feel Bob's naked skin against him, against his body. He wants to know the contour of his sides, his hips, his shoulders.
He feels Bob shifts and Ray knows that he will get his wish. Maybe not now, maybe not today, but he'll get it.
When they stumbled out of the cupboard twenty minutes later, significantly rumpled and with shit-eating grins on their faces, no one comments. They just go about their business and try to avoid eye contact with the pair.
When they stumbled out of the back room two days later, Gerard coughs and Frank giggles for two hours whenever he looks at them. No one says anything still.
When they walk out of their hotel room a week later, Mikey hits them each on the arm and says nothing still. Frank continues to giggle.
It's only when Ray falls out of the bunk whilst trying to get a condom on that someone says something about the relationship.
"Really, Ray? Glow-in-the-dark?"
