[Sherlock flips his device on, studying it for only a moment before he registers the setting he's selected and its capabilities. He's outside near the woods, trees visible over his coat draped shoulders. He walks, turning now and then to check all angels.]Ah, vlogging. This will do ( Read more... )

[Video] I didn't see it, but are you okay with very minor fourth walling? urnewkingbitch July 3 2011, 17:55:22 UTC
[Oh, man, it was like a tl;dr to his ears, but it's not ragey. Therefore, he gives the other man the courtesy of giving it half of his attention, rather than just glazing over a good chunk of it.]

This's Wonderland. I'd give you the whole spiel about it, but I think you can figure it out.

{OOC: Minor in that Dave will recognize him, but won't say anything about it to the guy?}

[Sherlock looks at the device again, ignoring Dave for the moment.]

..Interesting.

Wonderland, you say? Any relation to Charles Lutwidge Dodgson?

[He shrugs.]

Dunno. Recently just saw the Red Queen and the Tweedles, so I'm gonna guess the other characters are somewhere runnin' around. Not to mention weird shit happens sometimes.

Any room not taken in the mansion's free for us to use, by the way.

...A world derived from a work of literary nonsense, intentionally illogical and based on symbolism and Maths. Sort of puts a spanner into the works when logical conclusions are the basis of all your thoughts. Close to madness.

Tell me, on average, what is the rate of suicide and depression?

Can't say I've heard of anyone killin' themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if the people here are depressed after maybe a year of bein' here. [He shrugs.] But I've only been here about two or three weeks.

You're American. Don't worry, I won't hold it against you. Can you account for anything of particular interest that has transpired during your stay thus far?

That's okay, I won't hold you bein' British against you, either.

Probably the chess game that recently ended. Some of us were randomly selected to participate in that, no thanks to Tweedle Dee and Dum. One side was played by us, the "reals." The other was played by our mirrors, people who look like us and act like our opposite. They normally stay in the mirror world or whatever the hell it's called.

Arbitrary physics as well; the physical world has no governing laws that can't be broken as seen fit. There's either a very powerful person behind all this or this is a very powerful place.

What happened to the losing side?

They became the mirror selves. But the Queen went and undid the prize a while ago, so everything's normal. For Wonderland. She really doesn't like our side.

Yet she forces us here. Clearly this is either to further populate her side of the mirror or she is not indeed in control of the situation. Either way, it is imperative that I speak to her.

Good luck with that, dude. Nobody knows how to even get to her, and I doubt Her Bitchiness will let anybody speak to her or just be cooperative.

No, I doubt it will be that easy. Still... worth a try.
