Having experienced an Event first hand I feel more sure than ever now that neither Wonderland nor the Queen have anything to do with our presence here. Wonderland itself is most certainly responsible for events, however. Rather like our dreams, events are Wonderland's way of making sense of the jumble of information that we and our realities ( Read more... )

What book are you looking for?

Also, there isn't an official records keeper, but there's multiple people keeping various notes. I have one starting from seven months ago, if you wanted to take a look.

I don't know its title, only that a character by the name of Sherlock Homles appears in it.

I have received notes from various sources at this time. There's no way to know that these are a complete record but they're adequate for now. Bring yours.

I have them. It's a series, so which one are you looking for?

...Okay. To the second floor, room 21?

All of them.

Don't bother with knocking, just come in. You're expected.

Okay.

[ with that, Conan flips the communicator off, grabs his notebook and the stack of books. It was pretty heavy, but thankfully, it was only a floor down.

In a few minutes, he managed to reach the door knob and open the door. ]

Hello?

[Sherlock is in a chair, reading some material dropped off my others. He sees Conan and is mildly surprised. Speaking in text alone has the benefit of giving him these small surprises now and then. A kid. Well, he had the books and that was all that mattered.]

Put them down on that table there.

[He nods towards an already rather crowded table.]

[ as for Conan, he had expected the person on the other end of the communicator to be male, so he wasn't too surprised. And although he could tell from the post and the small conversation he had that this man didn't know manners, he couldn't help but to frown. ]

Here's the complete Sherlock Holmes series. I put them in order from top to bottom. [ it was hard to put it on such a crowded table but he managed. ] Why are you interested in this series?

Because it pertains to me in a manner I'm not yet quite sure of.

[Sherlock eyes the books. Heavy reading for a kid his age.]

That will do.

Mystery fan?

[ Conan takes out his notebook from his back pocket. ]

I have notes, but I can't lend you my whole notebook.

That would be putting it lightly.

If I can't have your notebook then I will require a copy.

Fanatic?

All right I'll go take some. You want information on this mansion and its events right?

Fanatic perhaps come closest to my attitude towards my profession, yes.

I want information on everything. It's impossible to tell where the real clues will lie in a place like this. Especially with the false Queen not available.

And your profession would be?

There seems to be more questions than facts here, but more people trying to figure this place out will speed up the process.

Consulting detective. As I'm sure you're aware.

[Sherlock nods to the literature[

It's ghastly how many people are here who have no inclination at all to find some sort of scientific conclusion to this place. It must be so boring in their tiny little minds.

...Holmes fan? [ since the only consulting detective he knows is Holmes. Must be a Holmes-fan then. Is that why he wanted the whole series? It's understandable. ]

I don't know how boring it is, but there are definitely way too many people here who think unscientifically here.

[Sherlock eyes the kid. Inquisitive sort.]

I am the Holmes fan. The definitive. Well, arguably John holds me in quite high esteem but that seems to wane depending on how emotionally invested he is in the crime. I wonder what he would make of this place.

No, I'm sure it's easier for most people to accept magic as the explanation. There's a reason religion is so popular: people like to accept the most convenient excuse regardless of how unlikely it is.
