Drabble #20

Sorry about yesterday, but that means two for today.

#20

Dedication: Like usual, it's to a writer. To jocondite for writing Can't Turn Left On Tuesdays which I've just recently found and adore.

Pairing: Spencer/Jon

"Jon, we want to make this permanent. We want to make you permanent." Ryan stops and looks at Jon expectantly, over the sticky diner table. Jon understands, but he'd like to hear them say it. Say the four words he's been waiting to hear all tour.

"What Ryan is attempting to say, is that you're in the band. If you want to be, of course." And it would be Spencer saying it. Spencer had been the man to invite him onto the bus for the first time, the one to tell Brent he was out, the one to ask Jon to be their sub. Spencer's the grounded one.

They're sat there, watching him watch them. And he can tell Ryan's hand that isn't on the table is stilling on of Brendon's legs. He lets a grin blossom and the others look relieved.

"Now, boys. Remind me why I would ever say no." Ryan's hand left Brendon's leg and he nodded. Immediately, Brendon jumped up and began to celebrate, in the form of hugging everyone in sight. Which means a lot of rather scared adults and a few rather pleased teenage girls. Jon and Ryan hug briefly, because that's what you do in this situation.

But Spencer. Spencer stands back and almost tries to let Jon enjoy the moment without him. Jon's not really ever going to let that happen, so pulls him forward and buries his nose in Spencer's neck. The younger man hugs back just as tightly, obviously a completely different set of rules for Jon than Ryan does.

Jon pulls away after a few moments and presses his forehead to Spencer's. He hasn't opened his eyes yet and knows that Spencer hasn't opened his.

Then he feels the press of lips against his. He pushes his mouth to Spencer's and smiles a little. But he feels Spencer hesitate.

"We'll talk about this later. Ok? When the contracts are signed and you can't kick me out for being a bad kisser." Spencer pulled back and looked at the floor, shaking his head.

"I'd never..." Jon runs his fingers through the younger man's hair and smiles. He knows. Of course, he knows. He's Jon. He'll always know about Spencer.

A/N: So there it is. The drabble you missed yesterday. Sorry. This also probably has a lot of mistakes, and the stupid crappy romantic moment. It's like a B-Movie. I'm tired and still half in bed.
