Dedication: To jumpmybones for something they asked for on patdficfinder which I was on trying to look for something.

Pairing: Blind!Brendon/Spencer

It didn't make any sense. That that this kid could play as well as he did. Spencer had seen people play with their eyes closed, but this was a completely different thing. His eyes were open, but he didn't even look at the piano, just stared straight in front of him. If what he was doing could be called staring. Shit.

Spencer didn't mean to watch him for so long, didn't mean to sigh when the pianist finished.

"Is-is someone there? I thought everyone had left," The boy said, obviously straining his eyes to hear Spencer's movements.

"Um, yeah. You're a brilliant player." He laughed, loudly, his head thrown back, showing the stretch of his neck. God. Spencer wondered how awful it would be to not have seen that.

"That? It was just something I was doing off the top of my head. Nothing special." Spencer moved a closer, across the vast room towards the piano where the pianist was still sitting.

"It was..." Spencer stopped, really not wanting to sound like a girl, but not succeeding. "It was beautiful," he said. He had wanted to add 'man' or 'dude' to the sentence, but had thought that would ruin the sentiment.

The boy laughed again, whole-heartedly. He held out his hand to Spencer, shuffling a little on the stool.

"Come here. I want to see you." Spencer almost asked why, but stopped himself in time. He moved to sit on the stool next to the boy and led his hands to his face.

"I'm Brendon. What's your name?" Spencer jumped a little at the blatant question, whilst this boy's hands were exploring his face.

"Spencer." Brendon took his hands away a little, but putting them back to rest around his jaw.

"Well, hello Spencer-with-a-bump-on-his-jaw." Spencer lifted his hand to touch where Brendon was running his index finger. He tried not to move against the other boy's hands, and failed.

"Hello, Brendon-with-the-beautiful-fingers." Brendon laughed again, a little more self-conscious this time. He removed his hand from Spencer's jaw and folded them in his lap. Spencer's face felt a little cold without the boys thin fingers on it.

"Were you here because of Ryan?" Spencer starts to nod in reply and then stops.

"Yeah. He disappeared when the girls did." Brendon 'hmm'ed and nodded a little. Spencer watched his eyes and saw them staring a little to the left of him.

"Too bad." Spencer shrugged, as a reflex.

"Can you... er... play something for me?" Instead of speaking, Brendon just turned back to the piano and began to play again, a small smile on his face
