You couldn't find it? Huh. I'll see if I can track something down for you.

And to answer your last question, there isn't one.

Very good. Bring it to me as soon as you have it.

There is a very obvious reason why there should be.

Why? You planning on taking attendance every morning or something?

No, nothing of the sort. There may be a trend somewhere in it all, though. Hard to tell without data to compare.

I have the information complied from since I arrived. It is on a data crystal, so you will need a 23rd century computer to access the information. The closet should be able to provide the computer if you want a copy.

Get the crystal and the computer and bring them to me.

Why don't you bring me a 'please' and 'thank you' with that while you're at it?

Are you more interested in niceties or results?

There isn't a complete log, and you should be able to figure out why. I have a complete version of my notes for you, though, if you still want it. It has some information about people coming and going.

Yes, yes. Bring them. Bring anything else you think might be useful.

[Using the communications device has been giving Evelyn some 'bout of trouble, but at least she's learning. It's much like a very small typewriter.]

Perhaps if I knew your name, I might be able to assist.

[She is a librarian, after all.]

Sherlock Holmes. How can you be of assistance?

[...Sherlock Holmes. Well. All...right...then. Because it wasn't like she was reading The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes the other day, or anything, and she's quite certain that he wouldn't be nearly so adept at this "texting" thing.

Then again, he's a very smart man.]

My name is Evelyn Carnahan. My profession lends itself to quite a bit of research.

I've also read about you before.

Read my website or read this book that exists somewhere with me in it? I can't really be sure of the difference until I read it for myself but for now I'll assume there's a difference.

And what is your profession?

I'd leave the possibility of sentience open.

Regardless--If you'd like, I have a fairly complete record of locations and years residents were taken from. The more minds working on this the better.

[Mark also has names, and a few personal profiles, but he's not going to share those with a stranger.]

Wonderland is not capable of having a motive or thought. It's reactionary at best and therefore not sentient.

I accept your records. You know the address.

[And soon enough Mark shows up at room 21 with several pages of data--typewritten on carbon paper.]

[..Sherlock is mildly entertained. He's gotten futuristic technology, stuff comparable to his own time, and now... well.]

These are copies or originals?
