ray said last night that in order to be a true philosopher, one must detach himself from all emotions. therefore, he cannot elicit pleasure from anything because since everything in the world is in balance, any happy emotion will subsequently be matched by and unhappy one. he must put himself entirely above feelings... man, that's no way to live. maybe "human" is a good thing after all. i love you, and thanks for letting me stay over. that was probably the best weekend of my life!
