As far back as I can remember, I have thought that lovers were also supposed to be best friends. Your significant other is supposed to be your rock, your voice of reason, your support system and someone you can talk to.

But what do you do when your lover isn't any of these things?

I may be unpopular to say it, but then you move on. If your guy doesn't fit ANY of those things, what will happen when you need them from him now, in five years, or in ten years?

Sad as it is, I have to agree. The hardest thing is life is watching a dream die and then having to keep on breathing. Is there any dream in life more dear than a dream of love.

I'm sorry about waxing poetic there, my own life has left me desiring beauty in a world which seems to seriously be lacking.
