I hate the graduated licensing. Honestly I was young enough when I was living in BC that I could have gotten my learners here in Alberta if I could claim I was resident... and then I would have been able to get my alberta license at 16.. and then transfer at BC, but being the goody-two-shoes (sp?) that I am I just dealt with it. Then Alberta moved to the graduated licensing program and that just annoyed me. Now I have a learners.. I've had it since 2008.. it doesn't expire until 2012. How screwed up is that?! learners aren't suppose to last for 5 damn years!(Not in my world at least).
There are plenty of bad drivers, and how come the elderly can still drive but they can be some of the worst drivers on the road? How come they don't have to be regularly tested? If we are going to have expiring license shouldn't we have to do a road test each time it expires to see if our skills are still appropriate? If we are going to expire them, lets expire them for a better reason then updating pictures.
