Define "The world as we know it." Because a lot of loopholes can be made to argue for your point in 50 years. But provide a definition, and I might be interested in betting against your prediction- $10 for every year.

I'd give a major change due the landmass known as America in less than twenty.

So basically i meant the world in its entirety; mother earth and gaia are also acceptable terms.
