I just tried to open a screw-top bottle of wine with a wine opener. When did expensive bottles of wine start using screw-tops? Isn't that antithetical to wine? I mean, really...I don't any help feeling more stupid than I already do thank you very much

I don't think I could have said it better than Dan. As much as I CANNOT STAND OHIO, it is indeed the friends that I have that keep me here. It is the weather here that kills me in the winter. But, I couldn't leave Robert and my garden. Those alone get me through. I still want to move to Miami, and I will... in time. I will be so excited to see you when you arrive, but I hope that you are making the right decision. I wish you great peace my friend and I will welcome you with open arms and a big ol smooch.

When I moved it felt like the right thing to do, but the friends that I missed here cannot be duplicated. I think what made it harder was that I moved to Chicago for no specific purpose other than "I can do more there than I can in Columbus". With my job there turning out the way it did and not having any of you guys around it made me realize that maybe Chicago isn't where I need to be. I'm not saying Columbus is, either, but when the time comes for me to leave again, I'll know it...unlike this time, I'm not going to leave Columbus just because I can.
I'm leaving for Chicago again today to go back and pick up my stuff but I'll be back next week, we all need to get together :-)
And plan for a housewarming party in mid-July! We got a new kick-ass place down the street! yay!
