Although Metroplex had assigned Ratchet some quarters for his stay, the medic hadn't stepped foot in them yet. He'd spent more time, in fact, in Perceptor and Wheeljack's assigned human quarters than his own temporary digs. When he needed to recharge and/or defrag, he simply crashed in the CMO's office in the Medbay. It felt more comfortable than any sterile, unlived-in quarters elsewhere in Metroplex's confines, anyway.
Over the last few weeks since Perceptor's release from the medical center, he, too, had taken to living in the CMO's office. There was a cot and a few boxes of clothing tucked away in one corner by the end of Ratchet's berth there, although, if Ratchet was in residence, Perceptor would more often than not curl up on the medic's berth with him, despite it not being the most comfortable place for a human.
This morning, however, Perceptor is safely tucked into a human bed in the human quarters assigned to him. Ratchet had checked on him affter sneaking out of
Snowcat and Demolishor's bonding party last night, and found the scientist sleeping, peacefully for a change. He'd stayed, watching over Perceptor for most of the remains of the night, sneaking out only a short while ago to come back to the CMO's office.
He has a file to watch.
The door to the office firmly secured behind him, Ratchet drops to a seat behind his desk. He stares at the blank console there for several long minutes, thinking, considering, weighing. With a sigh, he leans forward, boots up the terminal, and starts hacking, looking for a specific file amidst all the massive data stores available.
It doesn't take as long to find as he's anticipated. There's a few extra layers of security encryptions to hack through the access it - for some reason, his specific ID was, in theory, blocked from seeing that file, and that lock was recent, if he was reading the code correctly. He is craftier than they had anticipated, however, and the file is soon downloaded to his console, waiting.
Someone will have seen all those various tripped flags and circumvented protocols, however it's too late to lock him out of the file. He clicks the file, playing it.
