I don't have a girl but I totally disagree that a parent will rush to the hurt girl before the hurt boy. I think MEN specifically might be more likely do that...since men sometimes want to toughen up their boys and they naturally tend to see their girls as their little babies and they want to protect them. That isn't always the case though

pay-per-post? never heard of it. must be because I live under a rock. and kudos to you for making anatomically correct pie charts! I'm sure it'd take me forever and a day to learn how to do that. ;p
While a particular parent/couple may not consciously force any kind of gender behavior on a kid, you have to remember, that many other parents do and their children are then going to try to force those roles on others through various means, such as social exclusion. You can also look at things like what toys are given to which gender and the young role models in the media.
For better or worse change takes time and it was only a (relatively) few generations ago that our society had very strict roles for gender, the male as provider and woman as "bare-foot-and-pregnant-in-the-home-cooking-dinner-for-the-man-who-just-mostly-sat-on-his-bum-and-drank-beer-the-rest-of-the-day" kind of garbage.
