Fewer people are reading my journal these days. But, those who remain are closer friends. I ask you to share something with me. It doesn't have to be profound.- tell me what your favorite movie is and why, tell me your life's happiest moment, tell me something that will bring us even closer. I'll start ( Read more... )

I'm not sure I have a favorite movie. I tend to like longer arcs than movies can supply - so I loved all of Harry Potter! Current video obsession is Leverage - I like Robin Hood sort of stories.

Favorite movie- Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Life's happiest moment? i don't have just one. The Jewish wedding, Birth of Lord Stormageddon, the day I converted to Judaism are all my top 3.

Hrm, something closer? I wear my heart on my sleeve, or rather write every damn detail of my life on facebook. :P

I own that movie and like it too! Wow. I don't think I've heard anyone else even mention it before. Neat.

Share something, huh? I consider myself to be a very upbeat and positive person. All I'm able to think about lately, however, is the new possibility of surgery (6th!), the flutters I keep experiencing in my chest, and whether I'm being useful enough. Sad, huh? I've been hiding it pretty well, though. (and this, too, shall pass!)

I think my favorite film is Being John Malkovich. I love the humor, the absurdity, the surrealism, and most of all, the longing. I love when Catherine Keener says, "even if you got me, you wouldn't have a clue what to do with me." I love the first time she makes love to John Malkovich with Cameron Diaz experiencing it as Malkovich, and when she says, "Do you know what it's like to have two people looking at you, with total love and adoration, through one pair of eyes? No, I don't imagine you would." And the ending, when he's trapped inside his wife's daughter, still longing for his wife's partner, and he can't make her look away. Also, puppets.

Once, I was in love with my friend for years and years and years. Then after I was completely honest with him about how I felt, he said, "I like you more than you like me; you're just better at expressing it." I'll never forget that day. I don't know, after that it got all complicated, and I'm not sure anything else will ever happen with us. So that gets me down.

I have to admit to you that I think that modern Doctor Who is better than Classic Doctor Who.
