Lamont beats Lieberman in primaries; Lieberman to run as an independent.

Say goodnight, Joe. Nobody is going to vote for a third party, in this state. Lamont has the momentum, and unless some big controversy/gaffe develops, we're going to have a new Senator.

True, and I hope so--but I don't expect Lieberman to just roll over. Plus, it's plenty of time for Fox News to go to work on Lamont, assuming they're inclined to do so.

I've read somewhere that Lamont beats a three-way with Lieberman, among registered voters. But anything can happen between now and November.

And really, I don't think the Fox spin-machine is going to have much affect, here. Too many folks have been disenchanted with Lieberman's pro-war stance, and it's reflected in the polls. When it comes to local things like business/money-making, Connecticut folks vote for (moderate) Republicans (i.e. Governor M. Jodi Rell is Republican). But when it comes to national issues, CT is very liberal.
