Okay so, here's the deal - I'm well past 18 years old and the law says that means I'm entitled to the right to not get scolded by the government for doing things I've been doing since much younger than 18. I'm also a livejournal user and that means I'm entitled to the right to cover my ass, then not give a fuck. The world exists, and that means people are entitled to the right to be humans and judge anything that they encounter, including my journal.
Now, here's my reaction - I'm going to post (possibly, frequently)1 mature content as I have a right to do. I'm going to rate each entry as livejournal wants me to, then not give a fuck. I'm going to (possibly, probably not)1 friend-lock some entries if I don't want that content public.
