Birds are shitting on my new car. This pisses me off in a big way. I am aware that my rage is not terribly rational, thank you. But there it is, all the same

yeah.. i feel your pain.. i normally avoid trees and would rather park int he sun, than take a chance under a tree. carry a microfibre towel and some quick details... it will help protect the paint as long as you don't let it harden for too long.
thats actually a good idea. I may try and pick some up next time I'm at wal-mart. it saves me the 8 bucks of having to go through the carwash every time I fill up at the gas station.
as for parking under trees, off street parking is actually rather hard to come by in this town, and particularly in this neighborhood. Its an old neighborhood and the houses are built rather close together. my house is over 100 years old. I'm convinced the off-street parking probably increased the rent by about $200 a month. furthermore, a lot of the trees in this neighborhood have been here as long as the house. so there really is no place in my backyard/driveway area that I can park the car that isnt under a tree. And the on-street situation is even worse with the oak canopy, plus all the reckless and drunken and uninsured drivers in the area. no fucking way I'm parking my new silver bullet on the curb.
sounds like a neighborhood i'd love to take pics of. i have a little box with a few MF clothes and a bottle of the quick detailer. i likes them. Mcguirs is my fav brand if that matters
