*hugs you*

This was a work of art. So quietly gorgeous and descriptive and poetic and musical and, dare I say it, almost Zen-ish in feeling. And the Jensen's-eye-view of the proceedings felt so, so right.

Have you actually done this, the monastery retreat? Your details are just so clear and clean and perfect, surely you must have.

I'm glad this was the last fic I read in 2010. Thanks for giving me something so beautiful and memorable with which to see out the year. Bravo!

Oh, my! Thank you :) I am one of those weirdos that tries to match style to tone inasmuch as I can. Yay!

I have not, though I did read several detailed accounts of folks who attended the retreat Jensen and Misha supposedly went on. I kind of mishmashed the experiences and embellished a little as well as changing a few things. I'm a sucker for research. I am concerned about getting caught up in the kind of pocket squares they should all be sporting once I get to Mafia AU :D

:) So happy to make you happy honey! Happy New Year!

You just broke my brain with the sheer awesomeness of this. Absolutely brilliant, I loved every word!!

I like it when your prompt fills get out of control. ^_^ It should happen more often! :P

\o/ *duct-tapes your brain back together* Thank you so much!

It almost always does. I can't remember the last time I wrote anything truly short. I tend to get wordy :D

LOL I'm having the opposite problem lately. I spent so much of December writing tiny little ficlets that I'm having trouble remembering how to write the longer things now. *facepalm*

I've got one more shortie to pull off (a DCSS pinch I should really do this weekend) and then it's plotting/planning Mafia AU and writing BoardingFic. Ah epics. :)

Yay! I'm so glad you did!

I have achieved my goal then - soft and quiet.

Oh this turned out beautifully, sweetie. It's gorgeous. I love the quiet feel of it. And the description is fantastic, I could see the whole monastery, the incongruity of jensen and misha in it, feeling what they felt.. mmmmm.
gorgeous :)

Yay! It says something, I suppose, that I fret when I don't get to run it by you for the initial thumbs-up. I'm glad it worked. It didn't end up quite as naughty as I thought it would, but it felt like something else once I got to the end of it.

You have such a lovely lyrical style of writing. I really enjoyed the moments in the monastery. This was much more of a peek into brains than the clashing and coming together and I sort of didn't want the quiet to end. Really lovely.

Thanks so much! I do sometimes let the lyricism override substance, but I hope I've struck a balance of sorts here. I like to dig around in brains. Though not the squishy kind :)
