It's been such a busy time these last few weeks that I thought I'd find a few minutes and just take stock of things, something I'd like to do, in general, on a somewhat more regular basis ( Read more... )

So good to read your summary! Brief thoughts--25 years, congrats! ...Nice that your Finger Lakes friend is taking some of the admin stuff off your hands. ...Impending graduation--wow, already? Sweet. And yay, health. But are you allowed the occasional steak? 'Cos if so, we're going to have a repeat chorus of the happy crowd at our September party gleefully hollering "feed the rabbi, feed the RABBI!" :-)

Glad you asked about steak.

At one of my meetings with the cardiologist, I was saying something about my diet and pointing out that even when I got the green light, I wasn't going to all of a sudden go out and eat a 12 oz steak.

She said, "Nothing wrong with eating a 12 oz steak; just make sure that you take off the fat."

So...feel free to feed your local rabbi; just make the meat lean.
