A Night Remembered - Roadblock Sanctuary

Hey, look. Another random bit of lyrics I've written.

During parties, most people's instincts are to drink until their livers throw in the towel. My instinct seems to be writing. So we have another song now.

Veiled thoughts and quieted inhibitions
isn't enough to stop a man on a mission
an illuminated sphere fends off
the rolling waves of inkiest night
and a winged ambassador
negotiates a treaty using greedy feelers
while a disinterested window
reflects a night
of joy unbridled

And innocence has no place here with us.
Rolling smoothly refuses us
with subliminal punches
and misinformed hunches.

Soon the morning bears witness
to our mental fitness,
a series of events unremembered.

A night recanted in reverse,
first the last, then the first.
Seeing what's led us to here where we are.

Stories told over food gone cold.

It's short, I guess. No real chorus or anything.

And Andy says:

The vile stench,
from last night's wench,
twisting my nose
like a monkey wrench.
For that I applaud him.
