I attempted to learn Objective-C/Cocoa to start trying to write programs for OS X because I am a HUGE NERD. Needless to say, C is evil and Objective C is just plain confusing. A long shot - does anyone know where I can learn it without the urge to yell "WTF?".

Kid... Sometimes I envy you because I wish I were as witty... Which leads me to the obvious solution of eating your heart to make me almighty.

But then some other days I don't envy you... i.e. when I read about your obvious work abuse. And data entry. I did that for all of like... two days before I was turning into a mindless zombie. Only.... less eating brains and more boredom. =D Wait... no, there was some devouring of brains. Scratch that.

Annnyhoo...
Good luck, from the Panda Dictatorship. And the man harem says, "Hi."

Holy crap, what kind of product list are you working from? Is it all on paper? It seems there must be some way for you to use your magic programming skills to scrape the raw data and import it into the database.

All flat HTML files. See www.thelittledollhousecompany.com.

I reccomended grabbing the data with some kinda script to dump into the database. My boss (the one with the comp sci/engineering degrees, the former Apple engineer) said it would be faster to do it by copy/paste and told me explicitly not to. wtf??

I recommend using excel, you know, lookups and pivot tables should do the trick. Right? YEAH!

I have no idea.

Can you use headphones? That's when you rip the audio from all your favorite movies and TV shows, and burn them to a disc in mp3 format. Arrested Development is almost as fun to listen to as it is to watch!
