I'm reading Patricia Bizzell's Academic Discourse and Critical Conscious for a paper I'm starting to work on. The paper is about academic writing: how has it been standardized, why it is used, and it is regarded as a more valuable source of knowledge than other poetic styles. god the title even sounds like its all about academic writings and I don't even really understand what the title means. maybe because i can only get 2 words in before my eyes wander to the part about your dislike for academic writings which i find much more agreeable.

on your funeral arangements: have you ever seen the movie Eulogy? If you haven't, I won't go into the plot, suffice to say that the dude's last wish for corporeal self was to be sent off into the middle of the lake in a blazing coffin. They forgot to set it on fire before shipping it off, so flaming arrows were shot at it by two 12-yrd-old ish twins from the bank of the lake until they nailed it. it was pretty hysterical.
