The trouble with buying a pack of hot dogs when you are the only omnivore in the house: you now have this pack of hot dogs sitting in the fridge, singing their siren-song. You could cook us up and eat us ANY TIME YOU PLEASE. It's so easy and so fast! Why, it takes no more effort to cook up five franks than it does one! And so on

We keep ours in the freezer, which helps a bit.

I got a hot dog craving last week but since I live alone, I was concerned about the excess hot dogs. I got the ones that come in the "singles" packs, so I could freeze all of them and peel off one or two individually wrapped dogs to thaw in the fridge as needed.

Of course, I still ate 3/4 of the package within a week or so, but...
