1. To what does 'this thing' refer to and why are you scared of it exactly?By "this thing", I meant this journal... configuration, and my fear of it exists at several levels. Firstly, and these are in no particular order, because Dr. O'Connor is incredibly enthusiastic about it, and it's been my experience that anything that has Dr. O'Connor so ( Read more... )

What are you at a loss about, exactly? And damn.

Perhaps I ought to have rephrased question three, then? Something like, "if given the power, who would you send off to a very lonely planet?"

Number of injuries? Oh, for heavens sake, people are simply not used to the sport. They're not suffering any injuries, as such. Just uncomfortable ... developments in their muscles, due to lack of experience in the sport.

What are you suggesting there? I use a comb everyday!

Oh, more or less the whole journalling business.

And leave them at the mercy of the Wraith, or the scary natives, or whatever alien lions, tigers or bears happen to be populating said lonely planet's surface? Good God, Adam. I think the bullet to the head would have been a kinder option.

Lieutenant Bailey came in yesterday with a fractured wrist!

I'm sure I wasn't suggesting anything about your grooming habits; I was just addressing your questions regarding mine.

...because it's such an extremely difficult task?

Well, if you want to put it that way, then go ahead. Of course, with the lesser of two evils established, who would it be?

Yes, it wasn't until now that I actually realised how much was involved. Whatever happened to the good old pen-to-paper method?

Now, hold on, surely a more reasonable solution can be reached to whatever beef I might have with anybody on this base before I go resorting to murder!

In the wrist?

Of course not. What do you take me for, Flying Officer?

Hello Doctor Merryweather. I must firstly say that you are certainly not the only one confused about these journals. Secondly, can I possibly bother you for five questions? It seems everyone else loves them, and I may as well try.

*smiles* Hello, Kayla. How have you been? I'm certainly glad to know I'm not alone in my confusion.

1. What do you do with yourself, to pass the time?
2. Do you have a particular favourite place in Atlantis? And if so, what is it?
3. What is your fondest memory?
4. From everything you've heard about our world, what is one thing you would most like to experience of Earth culture and why?
5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to do?

Actually, I have been finding it hard trying to work this thing. I am not entirely sure how Flying Officer Donovan does it, or any of the others.

Thank you, Doctor. Here are my answers.
