So tomorrow I will be making my first visit to New York City, ever. We're going to the King Tut Exhibition. ("We" is Matt, Katherine and I, Matt's mom and stepdad, his brother Will, and I know not who else-I think that's all

I will warn you - the streets are going to be FULL in a way they aren't at other times. Like, really, really FULL what with everyone off work and family members visiting.
Though some years it's strangely empty post-Thanksgiving.
Even with the rain? In any event, thanks for the welcome, and I will do my best to be back when it's nicer weather, and I have more time. (Likely with at least one sweetie :-)
Cool! That's a good idea to visit NY! Make pix, interesting and not like at the post cards! By the way, one of my LJ friends says that if you want to buy something at the Apple Store, you should go to there as early as possible!
Thanks! I'll try, but will only have my partner's point&shoot phone (King Tut, apparently, doesn't like having his picture taken :-)
AS for the sale-your friend is so very right. But I am tied to the relatives, and they are not aimed at the Apple store, alas. So it will be King Tut first, and Apple store maybe. Maybe not, since it's raining here and will be a miserable walk to the store.
(And I've seen your pictures of snow already, and suspect you have no sympathy at all :-)

See my last message - it was abou half of hour ago ))) Collaps in the city - car accidents, snow and jams. My additional activity is towaway. And these two days my drivers are working without a rest! )
NYC used to creep me the fuck out, every time I drove past/through it (the sheer size/volume of all the high rises!), but when I actually spent some time on the ground, walking around, I loved it. Hope you have a great time :)
And me way over here...avivasedaiNovember 26 2010, 17:02:47 UTC
Have a great visit, the whole lot of you. I would offer lots of food suggestions but only by email - there are too many good places and I have things to do here at work. *grin* Safe travels!
