Authors note: So I think there will only be this chapter, and another. But I am not certain. I don’t want to drag this out too long, as the point of the story really was how to bring these five back together again. That being said, I will write until I feel that it is finish, and if that is more than the two chapters I anticipate then that is how long it will be. I am itching to write more on the Juba, as well as my new Matsumiya that I have yet to unveil (Titlted for the moment ‘Let it go’ and will be an office AU fic with appearances from all of our favorites), but I needed to work on this (it has been uncooperative) and after the Juntoshi fic would not leave me alone (sorry!!) I wanted to let everyone know that I have not forgotten this fic.
Jun rolled over, stretching, and he was not surprised to hear a murmur of protest from beside him. Jun was not sure why he was awake yet, looking at the clock he could see that he had only gotten a few hours sleep so far. Nino was beside him, curled up into a small ball, but he did not actually wake up, just mumbled in his sleep as the shifting of the bed, the removal of warmth from beside him. Nino had always been sensitive to the cold, and especially when sleeping he did not like when his heat source, in this case Jun, moved away.
Jun rolled over, spooning again Nino, and rested one hand on his arm, studying the man who let out a small sigh as Jun curled back up against him. Watching Nino sleep was always a rare occasion, and something that Jun enjoyed doing. When they would fall asleep, he and Nino would be tangled up in each other, a mess of limbs and blankets. As soon as he fell asleep Nino would shift to his side, curling up in a small ball, pulling all the covers around himself and sniggling as close into the side of whomever he was sleeping with at the time as he could manage. He looked vulnerable in times like this, all smirks and snark gone from his demeanor, and it was nice to see an unguarded Nino.
It was also the easiest way to know when Nino was awake, or had woken up. When you were once again a mass of limbs, unsure where one person began and the other ended, then Nino had woken up, or was awake, and wanted attention. It was a very obvious signal, and one that Jun liked.
Jun gentle pulled Nino closer to him, tucking the other against his chest, Nino’s head resting against his shoulder, and Jun let sleep once again claim him.
When he woke up again he could feel the weight of Nino’s body on his chest, a leg across his hips, and the hand tracing idle patterns on his shoulder. He could feel Nino’s breath hot against his skin, and even before Jun’s eyes were open Nino’s lips were on his, insistently kissing him, despite the morning breath that he was certain both of them were sporting. Jun relaxed into the kiss. This was certainly something that he missed. As affectionate at Nino could be at night, morning was really the time that he and Jun had some of their best times. He was not sure if Nino was like this with the others in the morning, but despite the fact that it was morning, when he was with Nino, he never really cared, as Nino made certain that you thought about little else but him during these times.
The last few days had been nice, but Nino was flying back to Tokyo that day, and Jun would spend the next week and a half or so finishing up the book, and planning for his return to Tokyo. He had already gotten the publicity schedule for the J.S.S.P DVD release, as well as the Arashi filming schedule for his return. As soon as he was back, a press conference was scheduled to assure everyone that he was alright, as the rumors circulating about him and the reason for his absence were closer to the truth that anyone likes, and no one needed to know how badly Jun had been injured. You could not tell that he had been hurt, at least from external appearances, and everyone in the agency wanted to keep it that way.
When Nino broke the kiss, he spoke against Jun’s lips.
“This is the longest you are ever allowed to be gone from us again, understand?” Kissing Jun again quickly Nino shifted. “I don’t like that it is going to be close to two weeks before you are even back in Tokyo.”
Jun nodded, idly tracing a thumb against Nino’s cheek, his fingers tangled in the others hair. He was not certain how his hand got there to begin with, but it didn’t matter, not really.
“I would like to be back as well. This will be the longest I have gone without seeing you all since I have been here, I think.” Jun smiled fondly at Nino. “It is nice though, to see you, and you will be so busy I am sure that you wont even notice that I am not there.” Jun’s voice was light and Nino shook his head with a smirk.
“We are living at your place, Jun-pon, staying in your bed. It is hard NOT no notice that you are not there.”
“It better be clean when I get back. I mean spotless.” Jun looked to Nino, who nodded seriously. Cleanliness of his home was one thing that Jun was stringent about, and if the others were to leave his place trashed, well there would likely be hell to pay. Nino shuddered thinking about it and made a note to make sure that they started the cleaning of Jun’s place soon. Maybe even buy him some more of the stupidly high thread count sheets. He was sure that he could convince Aiba that buying Jun new sheets was going to be a very good idea, and that Jun would LOVE to come home ot new sheets. There was nothing wrong with his old ones, its just that crisp, clean, new soft sheets made Jun very happy, and keeping Jun happy was something that Nino wanted to do.
“Stop thinking so much, Kazu. You go back today. Enjoy the last few hours.” Jun’s hand had stopped moving along Nino’s skin as he studied the other man. Nino looked at Jun guiltily, knowing that as soon as he landed he would be whisked off to the J.S.S.P DVD release practice, so they could start working on the choreography for the promotions. Aiba and Sho both had a few days head start on him as far as practice, and Ohno was the one in charge of making sure that they all did the choreography correctly. He would be one of the judges, along with Jun for the contest that they were holding, and while as far as the public was concerned the only prize was the glory of being the best, there was a much more precious, much more important prize at stake. Jun..
Coincidentally, and quite conveniently (Nino was convinced that Sho had something to do with this) the DVD release was scheduled for two days after Jun’s return, and they all had the next day off. Most of the promotion for the DVD was scheduled for after the release, which was a different approach to marketing then the agency usually took, but with Jun back they would start transitions towards the release of the book, and everyone knew that the DVD was going to sell well. Pre-orders alone for the DVD had already exceeded expectations. There was no reason to think that the J.S.S.P DVD would not sell amazingly well, and there was less of a need to advertise it. A Johnny’s authorized autobiography however, it was new, it was different, and the public was clamoring to get just a peak at it. Jun would be super busy, and Arashi intended to make the most of the few days of relative peace that they had when Jun was back with them.
“I know, its just-“ Nino was cut off as Jun moved to kiss him, a tongue gliding along his lips, a hand running down his back. As Nino sighed Jun’s tongue slipped inside his mouth, twining lazily with his own, as the hand running down his back pulled him close.
“I don’t want you thinking about anything but me at the moment, Kazu.” Jun spoke against Nino’s lips, and he could feel the others lips curling into a smile against his own, as Nino attacked Jun’s lips in a kiss, his hands wandering down Jun’s bare skin, and Jun was glad that they had a tendency to sleep in nothing at all. Sleeping with Nino involved too much morning sex, and it was just easier to not have to take off his clothing again. Ohno and Sho both slept in pajamas if they had any say in the matter, even if their partner was sleeping naked, and Aiba would do whatever was most convenient for him. If he showered before bed or after sex, then it was pajamas. If he was going to shower in the morning then it was naked, or pajamas. When it was all five of them, by the end of the night they were so spent, so tired, that pajamas was the farthest thing from any of their minds, but with just two of them it was rare to reach that level of exhaustion.
Jun yelped as Nino pinched his side hard, and rolled them over, so he was hovering over the other with a glare.
“What was that for?” Jun growled and Nino smirked, batting his eyelashes.
“Your mind was elsewhere. If you are all I am allowed to think about, then I expect the same in return.” Nino wiggled under Jun, making sure to rub their hips together, and Jun’s breath caught in his throat. There was certainly nothing but Nino in his mind after that.
“Much better.” Nino smiled and Jun growled, before capturing Nino’s lips in a kiss. Though Jun had to agree, this was much better than thoughts of pajamas, even if it was thoughts of their other band members in various states of dress.
Jun had accompanied Nino to the airport, both trying their best to disguise themselves, though with Jun and his characteristic eyebrows it was always an issue. If people in this town knew who he was they never indicated it, and Jun wondered just how many Johnny’s had been sent here, for one thing or another. But that did not really matter. What mattered was Nino’s hand in his as they walked to the station. The warmth of his body beside Jun as they stood close beside each other on the train. The glint in Nino’s eye as they had one last smoke outside of the airport before Nino shifted his carryon bag over his shoulder, looking at Jun. The look in his eye, the smirk on his face would have anyone else but Arashi cringing away in far, but Jun just arched an eyebrow in question.
“See you in a week and a half, Jun-pon.” Nino shifted upwards to stand on his tiptoes, placing a brief kiss against the corner of Jun’s mouth before turning and disappearing into the airport. Jun stood for a moment, glancing around to see if anyone had seen that, or seemed to notice, and was relieved that no one had seemed too. There had been no gasps, no shrieks, nothing to indicate fangirling, and no cameras to indicate paparazzi.
Still, Jun pulled his phone out and typed Nino a quick message.

Brat.
Enjoy the flight. Let me know when you are back.
The conversation had taken place during the train ride back, and Jun could not keep the fond smile from his lips and he chatted with Nino with his phone. The smile however faded when he arrived back at the house. He was alone again. It was only a week and a half, and he was sure that he would be hearing a lot from the others when he could, and Aiba had already messaged him asking when they could video chat. Jun gathered from Aiba’s spastic and excited messages that the others had refrained from contacting Jun too much over the past few days, to give him some much needed time with Nino. Jun had pretty much had one on one alone time with all of them without the others messaging and communicating with Jun too much during those times, and it was only fair that Nino get the same. But not that things were better ALL of them wanted to contact Jun, glad that the ghosts of the argument were seemingly gone and things could return back to normal.
It was going to be a long week and a half. Hell, who was Jun kidding. He was bored, already.
Nino walked into the jimisho much happier than the left it. He nodded to the guards at the dorr. He paused for a moment to flirt with the ladies at the front desk. No one wanted to ask Nino about it, but they all knew that he had a few days off, and that he was in a much happier mood. Several of the juniors postulated that their senpai had gotten lucky in his day off, and AIba, who was walking by at the time paused to look at the juniors, who cowered slightly away from him.
“You know, it is a good thing that MatsuJun isn’t here to overhear you gossiping like that about Nino.”The juniors nodded frantically, their eyes wide. “You know how Jun is about things like that.” Aiba hid his smile as the juniors stammered apologies and ran off, and Aiba could see Nino leaning against the door across the hall smirking at him. Aiba laughed, launching himself at Nino and capturing him in a hug.
“Its true though, what they said.” Nino whispered into the hug and his only answer for the moment was Aiba’s laugh.
“Welcome back, Kazu.” Aiba released Nino and glanced both ways down the hall before speaking. “True or not, they shouldn’t be saying things like that. Comments that they start rumors, and then we are all over the paper, and apologizing for something that none of us are sorry for.” Aiba paused, stepped back. “Speaking of, Jun asked me to do something for him.” There was a slight frown on his face, and Nino looked to Aiba in confusion, crying out and stumbling back as Aiba’s hand connected with Nino’s head.
“What the hell was that about, Masaki?” Nino growled and Aiba looked at Nino in what he hoped was a stern look. Jun had asked him to be firm with Nino.
“That was for earlier at the airport. And the risk. You know how Jun gets about these things.” Aiba commended and Nino nodded, rubbing his head with a frown.
“He gets that way about a lot of things." Nino griped, then started again glancing at Aiba whose gaze had not softened. "He was looking sad. His smile was forced. It was the only way I could think of to distract him, but if I had known it would end like this….” Nino growled and then sighed. “Show me where the practice is. I have two days of a routine to catch up on and learn. And a certain kouhai to terrorize.” Nino grinned chuckling to himself and Aiba’s laughter rang out down the hallway. A junior, walking by at the time looked warily at the two before speeding up. Nothing good could come of a mischievous Nino and a gleeful Aiba, nothing at all.
Jun knew that his band mates were up to something. It was not that they told him, or anyone else told him what they were doing, but they were never really ones for subtlety. Aiba was buzzing with an energy that he only had when he was excited about something. Nino had a smirk that meant he was pleased with something. But the biggest hint had been when he had asked his manager about scheduled practices for the J.S.S.P TV appearances, and he was told that it had been taken care of. They were on Music Station for an interview and performance the first day that Jun was back in Tokyo and there was no practice scheduled for the show. Something was certainly wrong. But if management said not to worry about it, he would not worry about it. As it was, they had sent back his book with their final suggestions and changed, and wanted him to think up a title, which was a lot harder than one would think.
He was leaving that evening, they had a car coming to pick him up, since he had a lot of things, and part of Jun wished that it was Ohno coming to pick him up, since it was Ohno who had brought him here, six weeks ago. It had been hell, he had cried, but in the end, he thought thah Arashi was stronger because of it. Not that he ever wanted it repeated, but it was a good thing.
The one thing that Jun would miss was the onsen. It was hard to find one in Tokyo that he could go to without being recognized. And he did not feel like seeing if he could hire one out for an evening. He would just have to come back here some time, on a vacation perhaps. If he ever had the time.
It would be nice however to sleep in his own bed tonight. He had convinced the agency to let him come back tonight, instead of taking a flight early the next morning, in part because he had so much stuff, but in part because he wanted to surprise his band when they came over to his place tonight to sleep, and he was already there. If his house was not clean yet, well he would just make them do it later, but the desire to see them all at once, to sleep in his own be, surrounded by those he loved, he was something that would happen that night.
Jun could feel the bed shifting as someone got into it. He had heard the door open, but in his semi asleep state he did not get up to go see who it was. The clock had informed him that it was late, three or so in the morning, and he was going to need to be up and at filming by about nine or so. He was not sure about the schedules for the others yet. Regardless him leaving would disturb the other, so it was not long for whomever it was to sleep. Jun had made sure to leave a suitcase, and a box near the door so when the others came in they would know that he was there, assuming they were observant. Which sometimes they were. But that late at night it was questionable. He only heard one set of footsteps, which was a little surprising, but he would take what he could get that night.
Expecting the others to be at his place that night might have been a little too ambitious. The place was spotless, and Jun thought that they were avoiding it to make certain that it was clean in the morning when he was supposed to arrive.
Jun was brought into further wakefulness when he heard rustling beside the bed, and then a weight on the edge, as someone sat on the bed, shifting to they were settled under the covers.
He rolled over slightly, now opening his eyes and the other shifted towards him, placing a soft kiss against his temple.
“Welcome home.” The words were soft, sleepy, and Jun smiled to himself. It was Riida. “I heard your manager talking to Saito-san today and there were talking about how you were home tonight. I let the others know when I heard, but I think they were all already asleep. But I wanted to come over and welcome you back.” Ohno’s words were soft, sleepy as Jun pulled him close, wrapping him in a hug, an buried his face in the crook of Ohno’s neck. It was nice, to just breathe in the smell of Ohno. To be back home, to be safe.
“Thank you.” Jun’s words were sleepy and Ohno did not speak again, just held Jun, and let sleep capture them both. It was nice to not be alone on his first night back, to know that someone was there, thinking about him, though the cleanliness of the apartment. The new sheets on his bed, complete with a note from Aiba and Nino. The books on this shelf that he was sure was Sho’s doing, as well as a painting of what Jun assumed was the onsen that had been left on his mantle. His band mated had left their touch all over his house.
‘Perhaps it was time they talked about getting a place for all of them to share. Maybe he would bring it up to them tomorrow.’ Was Jun’s last thought before sleep claimed him again.
Jun had messages from the others, asking if he wanted them to come over in the morning for breakfast, but by the time he got the messages he was already at the agency. He had meetings with Johnny and Saito-san up until the point that he was going to go to the filming for music station, as well as photo shoots that had been delayed during his convalescence. Jun was super busy that day, and his apology text was met with unhappiness from all, but they could not really complain, and they knew that would happen with Jun was back. That did not keep Aiba from sending messaged full of sad faces. Or Nino commenting that Jun must have hated the sheets if he was avoiding them already. Sho just sent a messaging saying that he looked forward to seeing Jun that evening, and warned him that they would all be over at his place that night, since they all had the next morning off. Ohno had still been asleep when Jun has left, and would be for a while longer.
Jun was the last to arrive at the filming for music station that night, his manager informed him as he was taken in for costuming, hair and makeup. He was being taken to a different room then the others, and was a little surprised to see Ohno there, but not the other three.
Ohno nodded sleepily to Jun, but Jun could see the smile in the others eyes as Jun scanned the room, frowning slightly. “So they are planning something then.” Jun’s voice was soft and Ohno didn’t answer, but Jun was certain that he was correct.
“It is nothing that you need to worry about, Matsumoto-san. Everything has been well taken care of, and I know that the J.S.S.P will be well represented tonight.” Jun’s manager assured him and Jun just nodded, allowing the stylist to apply his make up, and do his hair, before changing into his clothing for the show.
“We are to go first. The others will join us.” Ohno lead Jun out of the dressing room when the younger was ready, and Jun bit back his questions and comments. He trusted the others, and he had come to find out just how much the tribute had meant to all of them. He would trust them with this. Though it was his baby, and if they messed it up, it would not be a happy thing. But if they wanted to do something for him so badly, badly enough to promote a project that none of them had worked on, then he would let them.
"Why are you not joining them?" Jun asked Ohno softly as they waited for their curtain call, and Ohno laughed softly.
"I have an advantage of having worked on the J.S.S.P." Ohno paused. "This is a competition you know, the one of us that you are most impressed with gets a prize."
"Oh?" Jun drawled, confused and Ohno nodded.
"It took me a while to think of something that I could do that would even the playing field and I am quite certain that i will win." Ohno looked pleased with himself and Jun could feel dread starting to curl in the bottom of his stomach. Why were his band mated competing during the performance? Perhaps it was a bad idea to trust this to them.
"Win what?" Jun asked, even as he heard the announcer call their name, and Jun was certain that he could not have heard Ohno correctly as the other answered softly.
"First dibs on you, tonight."
"What?" Jun hissed as he walked beside Ohno, smiling and waving at the audience as they cheered for the return of Matsumoto Jun of Arashi. All he got in reply was a smile from Ohno, and a twinkling in his eyes.
Oh, there was going to be hell to pay. He was not a prize in a game for them. Though it was a sweet gesture, and perhaps better than janken.
Ohno hid a smile. He could tell that Jun was irritated, and he knew why. Jun did not like being in control, and in this game, he was the only one who did not know the rules. Jun was antsy, and irritated, and it was adorable. Ohno was pleased. It would be nice to see how Jun reacted when he learned the rules of the game, now that he knew the prize. And just how long he would fight the inevitable acceptance of their game. Ohno was quite certain that he would win, and when he had brought his idea before the others he could tell that they were sure that he would win as well, thought they all had done their very best to learn the routines, and it was quite impressive.
'Welcome back Jun.' Ohno mused. "We missed you. And we all look forward to tonight.'
