LJ hates me, so i had to post this in three parts. SORRY!
One of the many things that Jun could say for certain that he knew about Ohno, was that his boyfriend rarely got jealous, though it did sometimes happen. He had been nothing but loving and patient with Jun through the years as he fell out of love with Sho and very much in love with Ohno. In addition, they both knew that Jun was not one to cheat, ever, and so Jun would never give Ohno a reason to be jealous, and if Jun ever felt the need to seek attention or affections elsewhere (which he was quite certain that he would not) then he would tell Ohno rather than betray him in such a way.
It was Jun’s opinion, that it was easy for Ohno not to be jealous as by this point. Arashi was very much aware of where his affections were, and that none of his co-stars had a chance as women just didn’t do it for Jun, and never really had.
However, since they had moved in together things had only gotten better between them.
Until recently, that was. Jun was sure there was a reason, he just didnt know what exactally it was. Which was bothersome.
It was his second day of shooting for the Lucky 7 special, and he was coming home late again. The night before he was certain that paparazzi had caught him and Eita leaving location together in a taxi, but he was on the phone with Ohno at the time, so his lover was well aware of who he was with, and when he was coming home. Ohno had been unhappy, complaining that rumors would start. He didn’t like Jun sharing taxis with people because it was prime paparazzi fodder, and the rumors upset him. Not because he was jealous, per se, but more that he would never be in paparazzi photos like that with Jun, as no one would ever speculate that he and Jun we anything more than bandmates, and it made him sad that he would not be able to claim Jun like that publicly. Jun felt the same way, and in part that was where an aspect of their fan service came from, their desire to let everyone know just who the other belonged to. That did not stop Ohno from saying he wanted to be in Jun’s bedroom the most on Himitsu, or Nino and Aiba from preventing such a scandalous thing on TV (even though the rooms connected behind the set, and there were certainly not beds or anything back there). Jun has been very surprised that Ohno was that upfront about his desire.
The next night, Jun knew that something was off as soon as he entered the apartment. Ohno was supposed to be home, but the lights were off and his shoes were missing from the entrance.
“Satoshi?” Jun called though by this point he was quite certain that the other man was not in the apartment. A quick scan of the apartment, revealed that Ohno was not fishing, as all his equipment was still there, but a gossip site up on his laptop and centered on the page was the comment that he and Eita had been seen summoning a taxi together. Well that did explain why Ohno was not in the house, despite it being his night off. He must be out with Nino. Or at his parents house. Either way he would be home by midnight or he would get a phone call. It was their rule, and one that they were quite good at sticking too. Despite being together, living together, and working together, they also spend a lot of their free time together, but there were instances that they did separate things as well. Jun’s schedule was busier than Ohno’s at the moment, and he would never begrudge his lover the chance to go out with his friends, as it was something that he rarely did. Ohno had very few people he spent his free time with, either Arashi or his family, so it should not be hard to find out where his lover was.
Pulling his phone out, Jun sent a quick text to Ohno, asking if he was alright since he was not home, and another one to Nino, asking if he preferred homemade melon pan, or if curry pan would be alright. If he was with Ohno, it would make sense and he would pick one; if he was not, he would comment on the one he wanted, but inquire as to the occasion.
Ohno sent back a garbled text which Jun thought meant that he would be home late, and hoped that Ohno was with Nino. In the mean time, he set out to cook some dinner. Garbled texts assured a drunken Ohno, and drunken Ohno meant the need to cook something for his love to eat. Ohno tended not to eat when he drank, which in turn made him more drunk, and more hung over than he would have been otherwise. So when at all possible, Jun tired to get Ohno to eat something before bed. The easiest and most straightforward way to do that would be with curry, and if he was making curry, he might as well make curry pan (as Ohno loved bread) and it would be easy enough to throw something in for Nino as well.
Jun liked to know what his friends enjoyed to eat, it made it easier to cook for them. While Nino preferred meat and hamburger steak, melon pan was the more portable alternative that also served as a nice breakfast/during the day snack when he did not have time to eat, which was more often than anyone in Arashi liked to admit. You would think with seven managers between the five of them that someone would schedule regular meals in there, but sometimes food was a luxury, and so when he had the chance Jun liked to cook for those that he cared about.
Jun’s phone buzzed, and he could feel the tension in his shoulders release slightly when he saw a message from Nino.
“Melon pan would be great if you have the time, J. Don’t know how much longer Oh-chan will be awake. He tried to tell you that we might be out past midnight but his texting skills are dubious at best right now.”
That was an understatement. Ohno’s message had been unintelligible, save for the <3 that was at the end.
“Take care of him, Kazu.” Was all that Jun replied, but he knew that Nino would scoff, but it was all that Jun could say. He trusted any of Arashi with Ohno (as well as himself) and if Ohno had needed something from Nino instead of from Jun, then he would respect that. Even if he was ever so slightly grumpy about it.
Jun lost track of time as he cooked, making first the bread dough, letting it rise, then the curry. It was a quick recipe with two short rises, so within an hour the bread would be in the oven. A glass of wine and the radio in the background were his companions for the evening. After that was a nice aromatherapy bath, with another glass of wine and it was a nice change to just relax. It was a shame that Jun could not escape the fact that his boyfriend, as far as he knew was out getting drunk over a rumor that while true was work related. The Lucky 7 special shooting had started and Jun’s schedule was busy, with that the their concert tour planning and practices and dates, as well as their shows and getting ready for Kouhaku and Countdown (which was still a ways off, but the costuming for these things took a while.
When Jun finally heard keys in the door to the apartment his skin had long cooled from the bath, the curry and pan were wrapped and stored away, and his bottle of wine was empty, the TV on but muted, a book in his hand. Harry Potter in fact, which said something about Jun’s state of mind, as it was his go to happy place. Standing, Jun slipped his feet back into his slippers, and placed the book back on its shelf before moving to the entrance of their apartment.
“Juuuuuuuuun!”
Jun heard his lover before he could see him, and he could hear the shushing noises that Nino was making as the door closed. Unsurprisingly, Ohno did not listen to Nino, but stumbled shoes and all into the hallway.
“Juuuuun, where are you?”
Ohno’s words were slurred, and in spite of himself Jun was smiling.
“Satoshi.” He opened his arms and the older man stumbled into his embrace, wrapping his arms tightly around Jun, pulling the other close to him.
“Thanks for taking care of him, Kazu.” Jun inclined his head towards the kitchen and Nino laughed.
“My pleasure. It is a rare treat to get to spend time with Oh-chan. He had some endurance tonight, sorry for not getting him home earlier.” Earlier being before 3AM, but Jun was not going to make an issue of it.
Jun chuckled. “I don’t mean to hog him. Its just….” Jun dropped a kiss on Ohno’s head. “Your melon pan is ready and packed.” Nino flashed Jun a toothy smile.
“Pan?” Ohno’s words were muffled from where he was nuzzling his head against Jun’s shoulder, and Jun nodded.
“I made you curry for tonight and tomorrow, since I will be filming late, as well as some extra melon pan and curry pan.”
“Curry!” Ohno exclaimed, shifting around, though his grip on Jun did not loosen. “I told you my Jun was the best. And mine. All mine.” Ohno smiled, searching the room until he found Nino, his smile widening even more.
“J is all yours indeed.” Nino muttered, dropping a kiss on Ohno’s cheek as he walked by, grabbing the bread that Jun had baked him. “I trust you can handle him?” Nino chuckled and Jun eeped, Ohno’s mouth firmly attached to the junction of Jun’s neck and shoulder.
“Got it covered. See you tomorrow.” Jun’s voice was shaky, and Nino offered a brief salute before slipping into his shoes and out the door.
“The best, Jun is the best,” Ohno mumbled against Jun’s skin, and Jun nodded, finally allowing his arms to wrap around Ohno. “All mine.”
“You know I will always be yours, Satoshi, right?” Jun spoke softy against Ohno’s hair, and he was not sure that Ohno had heard him when he received no response. “Alright, Satoshi. Time for curry, and then a shower, how does that sound?” Jun raises his voice a little and the kisses on his neck stopped.
“Curry!” Ohno exclaimed, eyes out of focus as he pulled back slightly to look at Jun. “Loves curry. Curry is the best!” Ohno giggled and Jun nodded, guiding Ohno to a chair at the kitchen table and settling him down. He had prepped a bowl earlier, setting it in the microwave, and after a few seconds the dish was one again warm. He could tell that Ohno was watching him, and when he turned and placed the curry in from of Ohno, the older man was resting his head in his hands with a smile.
“You’re wearing your rings.” The words were slow and deliberate, and Jun looked at Ohno, startled. The older man seemed unaware of the oddity of his words as he dug into the curry, exclamation of yummy and delicious coming out between bites.
“Of course I am wearing the rings. You gave them to me.” Jun waited until Ohno was done eating before replying to his earlier comment and Ohno smiled widely.
“I like when you wears the things I give him.” Ohno’s voice was soft, clearer than it should be for the amount of tequila that he had consumed (and he reeked of the stuff) and Jun wondered if Ohno was going to be honest with him about why he had felt the need to drink that night.
“I always do when I can. You know this.” Jun stood, taking the bowl from Ohno, and he was surprised when Ohno stood, wrapping his arms around Jun from behind. “Are you going to tell me what is bothering you?” Jun asked, trying to keep his voice light and Ohno shook his head.
“Nothing is wrong,” His voice was firm, and Jun could tell that the older man was pouting, feel the set of his jaw against his back, and Jun shifted in Ohno’s embrace, pulling the other man close.
“When you want to talk about it, let me know.” Jun answered, kissing the other’s lips and pulled away making a face. “Come on, you taste like tequila and curry. Not a good combination at all.” Ohno chucked, nuzzling Jun’s shoulder for a moment before he allowed himself to be lead to the shower.
While Jun was a sentimental fool and let his affection for Arashi’s Riida show on television, it was rare that he came right out and told the other man just how much he meant to him. Jun knew that something was bothering Ohno, but until he admitted it to himself and to Jun, there was nothing that Jun could really do to help, other than his usual behaviors. Hopefully tomorrow would be better for them.
Jun needed to learn not to make projections about his work. He had read his script, really he had. He had studied it, made notes about it, and marveled at some of the things that were contained in it. It was just that the scenes they were working on that day had the worst timing ever to be filmed. At that very moment he was leaning casually against a tree, cameras for Lucky 7 as well as news programs filming him, and Eita was right behind him, nudging a camera right between his legs.
Jun had not realized that the scene was going to be quite this intimate, Eita rearranging the camera to suit the director, his co star pressed far to close and the camera far too intimate for Jun’s comfort. He was sure Ohno was going to kill him. No one likes to see their lover and another man on the evening news, even it it was for work.
Jun just hoped that he had a chance to get to his phone (which was in the trailer, in his bag) and message Ohno about the scene before it made the news.
Eita shifted the camera, angling it slightly up, and Jun tried not to stiffen, aware at the cameras were rolling even as the director called cut.
“I can see why so many women like you, the view from back here is nice.” Eita joked, and without thinking Jun turned and smacked at the man. From the noises the camera people were making Jun was quite certain that scene would be making the evening news.
“Watch where you are sticking that camera.” Jun snapped back, channeling Shuntaro.
“What’s the matter? You are a bit jumpy today, dog. Its just a camera.” Eita snapped back, waggling his brows. “Relax. Its work. You and your fine ass are safe from me.” Eita winked, and Jun swallowed, hard.
Right. Work.
“It had better be. I don’t want your wife after me for something I want no part of.” Jun hissed back, and Eita’s head fell back in a laugh.
As fate would have it he did NOT have time to get to his phone until much later, as they were ushered from one location to the next, one of the assistants in charge of getting their bags to each of the locations with the trailer.
As such, he was not surprised to have a series of texts from his band mates, which he of course responded to during the down time between locations, which was unfortunately after the news program had aired.

It was not flirting, brat. I was trying to keep things professional. And I still don’t know what last night was about. Did you find out and decide not to tell me?

That must have been awkward. And I do not wish to pry, and I could be wrong, but I think that Satoshi-kun is a little upset.

It was awkward. Does not help that they are doing TV filming at the same time.
Is he talking about it, or just pouting?

I will see if I can get him to talk about it tonight. He was out with Kazu last night, but doesn’t want to admit that anything is bothering him.

While Satoshi-kun is adorable as usual, the occasional bits of Naruse glares that are coming through do serve to make work a little tense.
The one person that Jun was not getting a message from was Ohno.
Even when he asked if Ohno wanted to go on a date the next day since Jun had a light schedule. The lack of response was worrisome.
Jun paused before the door to his apartment, slipping is phone back into his pocket having checked it one last time before unlocking the door. Ohno’s shoes were inside the doorway, and Jun could smell a home cooked meal and the scent of candles. The apartment was darkened and soft music was playing in the background.
Jun took in a shaky breath. This would be interesting.
“I’m home. Are you here, Satoshi?” Jun asked softly as he stepped into their apartment, and finally he received an answer, though it was just a hmm of agreement. Jun could not help but smile as he saw Ohno at the sink, washing the dishes used to prepare the meal and wearing the frilly rainbow polka dotted apron that Aiba had gotten them as a housewarming present. He had claimed that it would bring Arashi into their house, and that since Jun and Satoshi were playing house, and it was all because of Arashi, that an Arashi apron was the obvious choice of housewarming gift.
Jun slid up behind Ohno and wrapped his arms around the shorter man, slipping his hands beneath the apron but above the rest of his clothing. Jun stood like that for a moment, resting his cheek against his lover’s before turning his head slightly to drop a kiss on the corner of his mouth.
“So you are upset, then? I wondered since you weren’t responding to messages at all.” Jun could feel Ohno stiffen in his embrace but he did not deny the claim, though he did not confirm it.
“Dinner is ready as soon as you are.” Ohno turned, kissing Jun on the lips before wriggling out of the other man’s grip, hanging the apron on the hook in the kitchen that housed all of their aprons.
“Satoshi…” Jun sighed, but let the other man go. “You know that I am not Kazu, I cannot read your mind.”
Ohno hmmed, motioning towards the food that was in covered dishes on the table, and noticed the bottle of wine that had been opened. The brand was one of Jun’s favorites, and from the smell of things they were having fish and vegetables for dinner, something that Ohno cooked quite well, though usually after a day of fishing. Jun was certain that Ohno had not gone fishing that day, unless he was fishing indoors but that was not something that was ever a possibility.
“Sit.” Ohno demanded more than asked, pulling the chair out for Jun, and the younger man had no choice to obey, struck by the sweetness of the gesture of Ohno pushing his chair in for him in the midst of the odd tension that Jun did not know how to fix. Ohno didn’t move though, instead bending over to capture Jun in a hug from behind, which he was still to this day not fond of, but it was Ohno so it was alright.
As he started speaking his voice was low in Jun’s ear, hardly louder than the sound of the music. “I realized a bit over a week ago that I had stopped taking care of you as well as I once did. I don’t do the things for you now that I used to, since you are always the one taking care of me when I am tired, or sick, even when I am a jerk to you.” He took a breath. “I know that as long as we are Arashi, as long as Johnny has any say in anything in our lives, I will never be able to claim you as my own for the world to know. We will never make tabloids for taking a taxi together. This will never be normal. It is us, and normal for us, but never normal by most standards.” He paused. “I want to give you that, but I cannot. But I want you to know,” Ohno paused and Jun could hear the slight hitch in his voice, the irritations and pout present there, “and I want you to remember even when another man is sticking a camera between your legs, even when the fangirls are starting at you in stage as you change for your solo, even when people dream of having you, and wanting you, and try to take you for their own, that every day that I have with you is a blessing, and not something that I take for granted, and that I love you, Matsumoto Jun.”
So that was the issue. Ohno was jealous.
Ohno took in a breath. “I really, honestly love you. And I want to take care of you.”
Jun could feel himself choking up at those words, could hear the trembling emotion of Ohno’s voice, and he know that it took a lot for Ohno to say all of that, to say that much. They talked of feelings, they professed their love and affection for each other, but speeches like that were not easy for either of them. How could Jun not be moved? As he himself took in a shaky breath Ohno’s arms tightened around him.
“I have never doubted that, Satoshi. You always take care of me. Now eat with me, and show me how much you love me.” Jun sighed. “Though no marks, and if you dont mind, I would like you to come to the shooting in a few days. There is a scene and…” Jun trailed off as Ohno took his seat.
“Scene?” Ohno repeated and Jun nodded.
“In a hotel.” Jun’s voice was soft.
“Hotel?” An eyebrow rose, though his voice was even.
“And you will want to be there. I would want you to be there, since it’s a bit more that just a camera between my legs.” Jun sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I knew that the scene was a possibility, but talking to the director today they are really going for something special with the scene.” Jun paused. “On one level I am surprised that management allowed it but on another I am not.” Jun glanced down at his plate. He had filmed kiss scenes, and implied sex scenes with dramas including Lucky 7, but this was different, somehow. “it is just, I have never done something like that before, and i would feel better if you were there, I think.”
“If you want me there, I will be there.” Ohno’s smile was wide, a nice change from the rest of the evening. Jun felt a lot better about things.
