Together Forever Part 2: Moving on was not a group decision (Fujigaya centric, Kisumai)

Oct 18, 2013 01:24

Yay! fic! A follow up to this! Which is turning into a series. Sigh.
Most Taipi angstyness caused by Mitsu. Who doesn't even make an appearance in this one!
And a lot of well meaning advise from band members.
In while Gaya tired to move on. And it turns into a team building exercise. Or something.
Also, it seems to can write everything but my je_bigbang. that needs to change soon. ^^*

“Just love is enough, the rest will work itself out from there, Gaya.” The text from Senga started. He was sure that really what had happened is Miyata had stolen Senga’s phone when the message from Senga wasn't quite to his liking. Since it was kind of their fault that the entire thing had gone down the way it did. But it wasn't really, and he in no way blamed them. It had needed to happen, he had needed to confront Kitayama, just preferable not in such a public way.

It said something about his self control, or the breathing techniques that Matsumoto-senpai had been teaching him that he didn't throw his phone across the room and into the wall and say fuck his band mates and contacting the rest of the world while he was in Russia. The only reason he didn't throw his phone across the room was because he has been informed, after calling Matsumoto-senpai after the confrontation in the dressing room, that if he wasn't available and answering messages in what Matsumoto deemed a reasonable amount of time for one shooting a TV show in Russia that Matsumoto and Ninomiya-senpai would be on a plane to check on him, and he really really didn't want that.

But the messages from his band were not helping matters.

“I am sure that he does love you, Gaya. And love has to be enough, right?” Senga was somehow optimistic. And Miyata was not much better. “I am sure that it was a mistake. A misunderstanding. He might be dense sometimes, but KitaMitsu isn’t that much of an asshole…..I think?” Considering their messages were so similar he was sure that they were collaborating on the messages, trying to give him hope, but he was done with hoping.

Nikaido and Kitayama hadn’t messaged him at all. But Tamamori had with a “What the hell was that?” And some emoji that Fujigaya wasn't even sure what they meant while Yokoo was much more his best friend.

“I am sorry. I should have known, or realized. Can we talk when you get back?”

That one Fujigaya responded too. “No one knew that I had a thing for Kitayama, Watta. That was the entire point. There is no need to apologize.” Wataru didn't need to know that walking in on Kitayama giving him a blowjob made him want to punch Watta in the face, and kick Kitayama in the balls, since he was past the angry point, and onto the moving on stage, and it was not as if he had told his band that he had been hiding a crush on Kitayama behind the revulsion and biting commentary and discomfort with fan service.

“Had? You have only been gone a few days.” Was the reply that he got and with that Fujigaya did throw his phone down on the bed.

His band was seriously annoying.

Mostly because the person that he wanted to message him was not. But, according to Matusmoto, who spoke from experience with Sakurai-senapi, that was a natural response to the sort of falling out that was in progress. But Fujigaya didn't want to instigate a cold war (though he had a much better understanding of the awkward Arashi years now, after talking to Ninomiya and Matusmoto about Matsumoto’s enthusiastic and unrequited crush on Sakurai-senpai.

And if he was extra flirty in Russia, while being filmed, well who could blame him. Really.

He managed to avoid his band, and only message Matsumoto-senpai to keep him in Japan and not in Russia for several days, but when a sad, pouting picture of Miyata and Senga came, with the title “We miss you and are worried” He had to cave and at least let them know that he was OK. Though the manager that was with him was reporting back to Japan, he was certain. After Kitayama’s issues in India, and Tamamori and Kitayama barely surviving for a month on onions and eggs they were worried about him, but he could at least take care of himself, at the very least better than they took care of themselves.

“I am fine, just busy working. I am sorry for the trouble. But I am over it. I promise there won’t be any drama when I get back.”

Was the reply that he finally settled on, and when he got an almost immediate reply, he could not help but frown.

“That is what we are worried about. We don't want you to make any rash decisions before talking to him.”

This wasn't a rash decision. He had thought a lot about it. And Kitayama had made it very clear that he could give a fuck about Fujigaya’s feelings for him. After all, the way that he had blown up, if Kitayama had wanted to argue with him, had wanted to anything with him, he would have the decency to message, since it was lack of communication (on both of their parts, but Fujigaya really didn't want to think about the fact that he should have confirmed that he was waiting on a response) that got them into this mess.

But since Fujigaya wasn't sure how to answer Senga and Miyata he did the next best thing, messaged Matsumoto with an update on the progress of things, and asked if he wouldn't mind a dinner when he got back from Russia.

To be honest, Matsumoto and Ninomiya-senpai had both urged him to talk to Kitayama, instead of assuming his motivations, but Fujigaya knew Kitayama by now, and the other was honest when he said that when he was interested in someone he would pursue them. If Kitayama wanted him, he would have made it clear long ago. Or at least clear after the blow up. But he had gotten silence. Which is why he would just move on, and avoid all the awkward. But Senga and Mitaya were making him doubt his decision. And that was what he wanted to talk about.

Besides, Kitayama was the one not contacting him, again.

“I would never do anything to jeopardize Kisumai. The band comes first, always. No matter what, we are Kis-My-Ft2.”

Again, the reply was almost immediate. “Gaya needs to be happy as well.”

“Kisumai is my happiness.” And the reply wasn't a lie. His band, and their debut, and their success really was the thing that made him happy. And who could argue with that? Neither Senga or Miyata, as they stopped emailing him after that. Yokoo was still sending random apologies. And progress updates on things in Tokyo while he was gone, though Kitayama was conspicuously absent from those messages.

Nika and I went out to dinner. It was a place that just opened, we should go when you get back.

Senga and Nika were playing pranks on the juniors again.

Hurry back, things aren’t the same without you.

Miyata and Senga seem to be plotting something. I know you have made up your mind, but I think it is fair that you know. Since it is your choice to make.

That one made him want to throw his phone against the wall, but he was learning to control his temper.

I think Tama-chan is worried about you. He has been unusually…..Tama-like these days. And he has been complain less about Miyata’s skinship. So something is up. Plus, he keeps mumbling to phone-san about not having the words that he wants. We are all worried, since you have been so quiet.

Taisuke, please, just let me know you are ok?

I am fine, Watta. Just busy. And thinking. Have a lot of time to do that here. And nothing has changed.

You won’t give him a chance?

It is hard to give more chances than I already have. And if he had something to say to me, you would think that he would have at least contacted me. But it doesn't matter. Kisumai is kisumai. And this is separate from that.

It was to Yokoo’s credit that he didn't again try and insist that he give Kitayama a chance to explain, or to fix things or anything like that. A confession, then months, and then a confrontation and still no contact was enough for him to admit defeat. When there was a goal in site, or a chance, he would push until the end. But he would never force his feeling on the other.

He should never have confessed, but what was done was done and there was nothing that he could do about that.

When they got back to Japan, he was only slightly surprised when his manager informed him that there was a ride waiting for him, but that the manager would be taking the train. When he spotted Tamamori loitering near the arrival gate of the airport it made much more sense. Especially considering that other than the one message the other had been almost silent.

Tamamori had the decency to wait until they were in the car, the radio only loud enough to make the silence less oppressive before speaking.

“How did you manage to hide it from all of us?” Was the first question, and Fujigaya couldn't help but laugh. It was a well-known fact that he wore his heart on his sleeves, for all of the world to see.

“I told you, I am a better actor that people give me credit for. And if you remember he and I used to be better friends.” He left the statement at that, watching the emotions flicker across Tamamori’s face, expression now that he wasn't behind a camera. It didn't take long for the understanding to settle, and for Tamamori to shoot him a look out of the corner of his eyes. One that let him know that Tamamori didn't like that explanation, but wasn't going to press it.

“As far as I can tell, though phone-san wasn't cooperating and letting me message you with the words I wanted to use, is that you confessed, and then didn't get an answer, and then things went downright before Russia.”

“More or less.” Fujigaya answered back. “We were drinking, and I confessed. He said he needed to think about it. And I said I wouldn't bring it up again. Then you and Miyata took him up to the hotel room. And it never came up again. But I got to hear about you topping him. Senga and Nika tag teaming him, and I walked in on him and Watta in the dressing room. And enough was enough.”

“And then he commented that when he wants someone, he goes after it, and between that and the rest of it, assumed that he doesn't want you.” Tamamori sighed. “Why is life so hard, car-san?” Tamamori absently patted the steering wheel, and Fujigaya couldn't help but shake his head fondly at the younger man.

“It isn’t too far of a stretch when he hasn't messaged. Hasn't called. Hasn't said anything at all about it. Or anything to me. At all.” He didn't bother to hide the bitterness from his voice and Tamamori made a noise of displeasure at that, a less than attractive look crossing his face.

“KitaMitsu is a moron. You know that.” His statement was so calm, such fact, that Fujigaya couldn't help but laugh at the statement. “You probably shocked him. Again. He was distracted that night.”

“He is, and he might have been, but I can only take so much. I have limits, Tama.” Fujigaya ran a hand through his hair with a sigh, and Tamamori nodded. “He doesn't ever have to respond. I am fine with it.”

They both knew that was a lie. But there was nothing that he could do.

“On the upside, Matsumoto-senpai has been giving me some really good advice.”

Tamamori hmmed, nodding. “Makes sense, considering. Explains a few things too.”

“Oh?” He inquired and Tamamori just shook his head. His jaw set and eyes slightly narrowed, and Fujigaya knew better than to push the issue. He also knew that Tamamori was planning something. But there would be no getting it out of the younger man before he was ready. He had that look in his eye, the this is bullshit and I will fix this look. Which probably meant meddling with him and Kitayama.

“All I know, since I am moving on, and don’t have to act like I dislike him, is that the staff will find the shoots for Duet a lot less entertain.”

Tamamori sighed, though he cracked a slight smile. “Such a shame, I liked watching your discomfort at their glee. Though that changes now that I knew why you acted like that.”

Fujigaya shrugged, glad that Tamamori wasn't pressing the issue any more than that and Fujigaya smirked. “This just means they will focus more on you and Miyacchi.”

Fujigaya couldn't hold in his laugh as Tamamori started whining, and he thought that perhaps, this entire thing would be easier than he thought, though that might change depending what Tamamori was planning. Or when he saw the object of his former (or in process of being former) affections.

“Gaya!!!!! That isn’t fair!!!!! I don't want to face squish with him for Duet!”
