Lecture 13: Welcome to my Kingdom

Dec 28, 2011 10:58

[The Doctor has experienced quite a haul for Christmas. Not only did he get what appeared to look like a stone throne, he also received just the thing he needed to speed up his base's construction: a digger battle robot. It seemed to respond to his command just fine. Perhaps it was just as susceptible to the Demon Crown's power which, admittedly, ( Read more... )

Shut up.

[Yet another psychopath making advantage of a stressful situation to bother people.]

Even if we are fools that require a leader, what makes you think we will succumb to you?

But nevertheless, even they would have the good sense not to listen to your demands.

"Good sense"? Hardly. Although my methods may be objectionable, this is all a part of the path of conquest. In the end, you'll see my leadership is far more preferable to the stupidity we've seen in the past few weeks.

And that was nothing but stupidity. There was no good sense in any of their actions.

They believed that their comrades had been replaced by constructs. They were willing to do anything, even kill, to retrieve what they believed to be their true comrades. While they might be at fault for not investigating harder, I fail to see how their actions in hunting down the "constructs" might be "stupid."

We have something different happen each month. They were little but illusions, yet people allow their minds to be clouded by unnecessary emotions. Quite a shame. All it took for the town to go on its little murder spree was a man on the television telling them to. And it was the same man on the television that told them that their friends had been replaced. They fell for it. Just like they fell for everything else months prior to this.

Face it, this is nothing but stupidity.

Some parts, yes, but I must dispute the others. This town is full of lies and half-truths. To figure out the actual situation requires information, which is only known to the creators of the town. Obviously, they are reluctant to disclose that to us. Under the circumstances, we can only work with what we already know and make the best decisions based on that. Whether or not they are actually the correct decisions remain to be seen.

And I currently know that I do not wish to work under you. Based on what I know about many of the other inhabitants, I can predict that they share my mindset.

A pity. If words won't reach out to them, then that only leaves force. Very well! You've proven to be quite enlightening, miss... well, what was your name?

Bazett Fraga McRemitz.

[She knows that she might be acting overconfident, but now that she has her magic circuits back, she has no reason to conceal her name. If he wished to use force against her, then she would be ready for him.]

And if you use force, I am sure you would find a good sized resistance against your efforts.

Bazett then. You may call me the Doctor.

And, well... We'll see, won't we? I have confidence in my powers and capabilities. I understand the weaknesses of all you civilians like the back of my hand. Resist all you'd like, but for such weak, paranoid insects like yourselves, I trust it won't be quite too difficult.

I too have confidence in my powers, as well as the powers of my allies. Perhaps we will only see whose confidence is not misplaced when we finally clash, Doctor.

[Another name to add to her potential hit list...and maybe also to the list of that "Sarah Smith," if they ever encounter each other again.]
