"Rorse" came up when I was naming the photo. "ror horse" suddenly became "rorse." Maybe I can get my niece to call him that.

I was a projectionist at IMAX. Walter still calls on my skills to have me sit in the theatre alone to "monitor the picture and the sound."

Somehow a fascination with / interest in Snape doesn't fit the picture I have of you... I take it the picture is incorrect. If you feel like enlightening me, I'm all ears. Er, eyes. :o)

Ah, Snape! Second only in length to my obsession with Data (but less intense than my obsession with Rorschach and Dan) is my hard-on for Severus Snape. To me, the Harry Potter fandom is all about Snape. He's the most complex, fascinating character of the series. I enjoy his snark, his brrrrrrilliance, his hurt/flaws/damage, and most of all - the ambiguous nature of his good or evil. I like him paired with Harry for the teacher/student dynamic, as well as the friction between them. Then the films came along, so Rickman doesn't hurt things any either!

(And hooray - there was a little bit of Snape in this film.)

Ah, I can understand all that very well. To me he's a bit too much the dark-dominant-menacing type, I don't fall for that so much anymore. But yes, he's damaged and vulnerable and that's a very interesting side to him. And of course moral ambiguity is always delightful. :o)

(I have to admit I might also be a bit over-fed on Snape lately, because a good friend of mine, the only RL friend I have with whom I can talk about fan fiction, is deep into Snape fandom and can't stop talking about all the fics she reads and videos she watches and I help her brainstorm for her own half-finished fics and... well, since it's not my fandom of preference it can get a bit much, so to say.)

A random call from work giving you 40 hours of vacation.

We all know that "Dan Cakes" is Rorschach's pet name for Dan :D

Beats me how they managed to skim so many hours away from me. I wasn't the only one who got screwed, actually. But hey - I hereby grant you 40 hours vacation !!

I'm sure my days off will just get sucked up with Xmas shopping!

Oh, I don't want to be spoilery. But hmm. It's much different than any of the rest. Dark, in the depressing sense. Some surprisingly good moments of acting from the kids! The tale of the Deathly Hallows is told in animation, which was incredibly lovely. Lots of blah blah blah exposition, though -- too many scenes of characters just explaining plot (though surely a necessary number). If you were dragged to the film against your will you'd be lost. But SOOOO many gorgeous shots of Scotland. Many naked DanRad scenes.

So I'll use this icon because the aurora borealis kinda looks like Death Eaters making a Dark Mark in the sky :D
